As part of The River To River Festival, the dance community's leading lights will celebrate the extraordinary life of Merce Cunningham in a free outdoor performance on July 26th in New York, the city in which he worked and lived for 70 years.

The Joyce Theater (Executive Director, Linda Shelton) will dedicate the upcoming Pilobolus season to its founder and co-Artistic Director Jonathan Wolken, who died Sunday, June 13 in NYC from complications from a stem cell transplant.

It wouldn't be summer in NYC without the annual four-week engagement of the wildly popular Pilobolus Dance Theater at The Joyce, this year from July 12 - August 7.

Grammy® Award-winning artist Dan Zanes and The River To River Festival are inviting musicians of all ages to dust off their trombones, tubas, and trumpets and be a part of one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in the city.

Premiers include American Document by Anne Bogart and Dance is a Weapon. The classics Appalachian Spring, Panorama, and Sketches from Chronicles will also be performed. This season launches the Company's Political Dance Project.
