Choreographer Larry Keigwin and KEIGWIN + COMPANY will be performing on October 6 and 7 at New York City Center's Fall for Dance Festival as part of a 2010-11 season filled with premieres, commissions and special events. The season began in August, when Keigwin was named the first artist in residence of the Vail International Dance Festival and will continue through March with the world premiere of the new evening-length work Dark Habits, during the company's week-long engagement at The Joyce Theatre in March.

New York City Center's seventh annual Fall for Dance Festival, running September 28 - October 9, will showcase 20 national and international companies and choreographers. With ticket prices remaining at $10 for all seats, a night of dance is more affordable than a night at the movies. The festival will include world and U.S. premieres, and will feature several companies making their first U.S. appearances.

The Invisible Dog, a new art center in Brooklyn, and Crossing the Line will present 'Electrochroma' by Richard Garet. There will be an opening party Saturday, September 25 from 6 to 10 at 61Local.

As part of its pledge to foster emerging artists, Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) presents RAW Material; a juried performance series that encourages burgeoning artists to bring new work to a live audience. Mentored by Artistic Advisor Gus Solomons jr, this season's artists will experiment with innovative ways to construct dynamic frames, discover breakthrough transitions and articulate emotional connections. Fall 2010 RAW Material artists include: Randy Burd; Sumi Clements/Summation Dance; Moriah Evans and Sarah Beth Percival; Gorgas/PoMoMojo; Joanna Kotze; and Dawn Robinson. The six up and coming choreographers will present their new 10-minute works in DNA's 130-seat state-of-the-art theater, October 7 & 8, 2010 at 8:00pm.

Belgium's les BALLETS C de la B will return to The Joyce Theater with the New York premiere of Out of Context - For Pina, a 90-minute dance/theater piece created by the company's founder Alain Platel,from October 19 - 24.

That day, we will also proudly host Open Studios, whereas our artists will share their art along with culinary delights to create a truly multi-sensorial experience.
