Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) presents up-and-coming choreographers and DNA Artists in Residence Mana Kawamura and Makiko Tamura in the Winter 2011 Season closer, SPLICE: Japan February 24-26.
KEIGWIN + COMPANY will present EXIT, a world premiere choreographed by Artistic Director Larry Keigwin, at The Joyce Theater, March 8 - 13. The evening-length work, inspired by the worlds of fashion and drama, will feature original music by electro-acoustic cellist Chris Lancaster and pianist Jerome Begin. Mr. Begin will perform live. The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue at 19th Street.

Inventive choreography, humor and eclectic music are just a few things audiences can expect when Dance Celebration presents the Philadelphia debut of two of New York's boldest troupes lead by today's up and coming women choreographers, Monica Bill Barnes & Company and Kate Weare Company. 'Dance: Under the Influence,' a provocative program of dance works inspired by other art practices will debut in the intimate MAD Theater on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 and continue one Wednesday performance a month through May 18, 2011. The program is guest-curated by renowned arts writer, editor, and George Balanchine-biographer, Valerie Gladstone.
