A Seattle based creator, Huertas shares his artistic process in creating musicals, and what it's like to perform in his own works. He also touches on his experience as a queer Filipino man in the theater industry, and how his upbringing in Seattle has affected his life's work.

Jazz artist Jason Moran is coming to the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30pm, presented by BroadStage as part of their jazz music series.  

First AILEY SPIRIT GALA To Be Held At Jazz At Lincoln Center On May 24

For the first time, the Ailey organization's annual Ailey Spirit Gala will be held in the home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The special event celebrates the art and soul of dance with a unique performance featuring a piece d'occasion entitled Chasing the Spirit created by choreographer and former Ailey Company member Hope Boykin, as well as an excerpt of Alvin Ailey's uplifting Revelations, followed by a festive soirée.

LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE Comes to the Met This Summer

American Ballet Theatre returns to the Metropolitan Opera House with four stories of love for its 2023 Summer season, June 22–July 22. The season will feature the New York Premiere of two-time Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon's Like Water for Chocolate, as well as full-length classics Giselle, Swan Lake, and Romeo and Juliet.  General public on sale for ABT's 2023 Summer season begins on Monday, April 24 at 12:00 P.M. at the Metropolitan Opera House box office. 

Jason Moran & Christian McBride Proteges Featured in PBS Special This Friday

Modern jazz luminaries Moran (piano) and McBride (bass) perform music by Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Geri Allen, and Louis Armstrong in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. Taking inspiration from America’s diverse artistic landscape, their collaboration is infused with a distinctive soul that illuminates their reverence of the past.
