Broadway Records recording artist Joel B. New will make his Green Room 42 debut on Saturday, October 6 at 9:30pm with his new show "Joel B. New Is Trying Too Hard."

The coffeehouse meets the cabaret, as poets and performers attempt to stave off their Seasonal Affective Disorder on Friday, October 12, in 'Poetry/Cabaret: STRANGE' at The Green Room 42. Curated and hosted by Thomas March, author of the newly-released collection Aftermath, the 'Poetry/Cabaret' series unites poets and performers in an evening of wild variations on a theme.

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Guilty Pleasures Cabaret for the fourth time in 'The Best of Guilty Pleasures Cabaret' today Sept. 21, 2018 at 11:30pm. The show will feature female vocal group 'The Sirens', pianist/singer extraordinaire Vincent Ester, charming emcee Rocco (Gregory Levine), and of course the dazzling dancers of GPC. With a speak-easy feel and a nod to pop tunes, the performers offer audience members spectacle, sex appeal, and variety.

Cabaret patroness Madame Mathieu has selected Devin Ilaw (Les Miserables, Miss Saigon) and AJ Shively (Bright Star, La Cage aux Folles) as guests of honor at the September edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

New presents an eclectic evening of his songs at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, October 6th at 9:30pm. International vocalist and dancer, Ronny Dutra, will be at The Duplex Cabaret Theater on September 8 at 7pm for an encore of his acclaimed musical presentation, THE WAVE. This autobiographical tale starts at his humble roots in Brazil and transports his audience to the fast paced world of competitive dance in New York City and finally to his current career as a cabaret performance artist. Every fall, playwright Steven Carl McCasland has made it a tradition to put down the pet and get himself back on stage. And so, with his trusted sidekick and Musical Director James Horan, Steven has made The Duplex a second home of sorts. This September 7th at 7:00pm, McCasland will salute the late Elaine Stritch with a new show, titled 'Not At Liberty'.

From August 27 to September 4, August Strindberg Rep will perform Strindberg's 'Creditors' in a new translation by Robert Greer as part of the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave.  This masterpiece from Strindberg's naturalist period is rarely excelled in its unity of construction, dramatic tension and acute psychological analysis, but it is far less performed and anthologized than 'The Father' or 'Miss Julie.' During an afternoon in a lounge at a seaside resort, a revenge is played out as a credulous artist has his mind poisoned against his wife by her former husband. Translator Robert Greer directs.
