No longer "the girl next door" - Rosemary returned as a consummate musician with a warmer tone, a love for swing and an open heart that shared joy, pain and the wisdom of her years and no better artist to showcase her songbook than Teresa Fischer with themes of love, loss, joy, and second chances in this tribute to the 'Girl Singer'. Teresa Fischer has long wanted to sing this songbook and now is the perfect moment as the richness of her own career helps her to understand these songs in a way that the inimitable Rosemary Clooney did and as only Teresa can today.

August Strindberg Rep will present Strindberg's 'The Father,' newly translated and directed by Robert Greer, in rotation with '#MeThree,' an evening of three original short one-acts by resident playwright Natalie Menna, in rotating rep from November 9 to December 1. The two evenings are designed to enable audiences of the #MeToo era to examine the war between the sexes from both a classical and a modern perspective. Performances are at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (between Bowery and Lafayette, East Village).

Sing Away the Stigma is a heartfelt, honest, life-affirming evening of brand-new songs by emerging musical theater composers and lyricists, inspired by true-life stories of those with mental health challenges. A dozen people from different backgrounds and walks of life, all living with a mental health condition, were interviewed and had their stories of struggle, strength, and hope turned into songs, which will be performed for the first time in this concert. Sing Away the Stigma is a testament to the power of musical theater, the strength of those living with mental illness, and the unique bond formed when the two meet.

Ana (Miss Saigon, Women on Fire) and Jesse Swenson (Spring Awakening, The Addams Family) as guests of honor at the November edition of Bistro Awards Critics' Pick Madame's Soiree. The Broadway duo will be joined on the program by a distinguished group of emerging artists from a variety of disciplines.

Celebrating their one year anniversary of highlighting transgender and nonbinary performers, Trans Voices Cabaret returns to The Duplex with a brand new show, a documentary film shoot, and a special out-of-town guest today, November 3rd at 9:30pm. Presented by Miller-Coffman Productions, THE HIDDEN ONES was conceived and directed by Anthony Logan Cole (Les Miserables, Curiosities) and choreographed by Whitney Sprayberry (Seeing You, Jagged Little Pill).

THE DUPLEX, NYC's historic cabaret theater, presents Guilty Pleasures Cabaret in their third annual 'Halloween Freak Show' today October 26th. This sexy song and dance variety show takes on a spooky circus-themed vibe for the Halloween season in NYC's West Village - the heart of the Halloween celebrations. Alongside the fishnet-clad dancers who do everything from contort and tap dance, the show features the gorgeous sword swallowing burlesque star Gin Minsky, brilliant emcee and host Jackson Sturkey, and the supreme musical talents of Annie and Vincent Ester.
