Questionable life advice, musical theatre tunes, a few boxes of wine and approximately seven to ten belly laughs delighted a sold out crowd at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre on January 6th, when actress and blogger Bligh Voth starred in a live taping of her new podcast. Avocados Are For Rich People: Live At the Duplex will air in two parts, Part One on March 30th and Part Two on April 6th.

If Mae West and George Carlin had by some miracle produced a daughter and Elaine Stritch was the child's nanny, she would have grown up sounding like McNight.

MAD COW THEATRE announces the return of a singular downtown Orlando event - the 14th annual Orlando Cabaret Festival, featuring cabaret artists from Central Florida and beyond. Among the headliners for the 2016 Cabfest will be Broadway star Andrea McArdle, a leading lady ever since she played the very first Annie in the beloved Broadway show of the same name.

After their sold-out show at The Duplex in December, Disney Miscast!, Gay and Girl Studios return to The Duplex. The Many Roads to Oz is a cabaret involving all three of everyone's favorite journeys to the Emerald City. This show features songs from The Wiz, Wicked & The Wizard of Oz. All three in a combination to make for a wonderful night. The Many Roads to Oz is produced, written, and directed by Alexa Bishop and Jason Hillard of Gay and Girl Studios.

From tonight, March 12, to April 2, August Strindberg Repertory will present Strindberg's DAMASCUS II, adapted by Edgar Chisholm, directed by Robert Greer.

Showstoppers, character songs, trifles, segues, backstories - Jason makes it all up in real time, off the top of his nimble and slightly demented brain, to the amazement of his audience.

Molly Pope -- brassy belter/whiskey guzzler/benevolent lunatic -- will return with the acclaimed concert MOLLY POPE LIKES YOUR STATUS for one night only at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street) on Thursday, March 31 at 9:30 PM.

Award Winning Playwright, Vanda, presents a monthly stage performance of her recently published released book, Juliana. The novel and live performance centers around LGBT life in New York City in the 1940's. The performance is directed by Ray Fritz. The final chapter of Vol. 1 will be performed on Tuesday, March 8th at 7:00 pm. Volume 2 will return to the stage at a later date in 2016.

NATALIE DOUGLAS - the acclaimed vocalist hailed as "a true, true star" by BBC London, "sensational" by Time Out New York and "stirring" by The New York Daily News - will release her new long-awaited third album Human Heart on Friday, March 18. She will celebrate the new recording with a special concert at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 PM. Human Heart is produced by Brian J. Nash with photography by Bill Westmoreland.
