THE MANY ROADS TO OZ Takes the Stage at The Duplex Tonight
After their sold-out show at The Duplex in December, Disney Miscast!, Gay and Girl Studios return to The Duplex. The Many Roads to Oz is a cabaret involving all three of everyone's favorite journeys to the Emerald City. This show features songs from The Wiz, Wicked & The Wizard of Oz. All three in a combination to make for a wonderful night. The Many Roads to Oz is produced, written, and directed by Alexa Bishop and Jason Hillard of Gay and Girl Studios.
Alexa is excited to be returning to The Duplex with The Gay and the Girl Studios' second show. She has previously been the general manager for the AEA benefit reading of Chutzpah! The Musical, the publicist for The Birds and the Bees, and the assistant general manager for Madame Infamy in the 2014 NYMF. Alexa currently works at a Broadway general management company and is also the production supervisor for Prism Stage Company.
Jason has produced several shows in the greater New York City area and in different cities around the country. Jason's most recent work includes being a costumer for the Indie Film Night Runner that will be released in Spring 2016, the publicist for Irving Berlin's America at 13th Street Rep. by the New York Post writer Chip Deffa, and the stage manager for One Jazzy Affair at the Abington Theater. Jason also has a pretty popular blog called TyicalJason.com that tells about New York City life and all of what one faces during their life. Jason is currently working at an undisclosed Startup.
Broadway stars in the making, The Many Roads to Oz is proud to welcome Brie Capone, Candaceia Charles, Lynda DeFuria, Joris de Graaf, Chris Jehnert, Rachel Ann Pierce, Aliah Sheffield, and Rantea Thompson. Cody Wymore is featured as the accompanist.
