The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center raised $10,549 for Haiti relief efforts through special fundraisers at two Center productions.

The cast from Stages Theatre Company's (STC) current production, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, successfully raised more than $3,000 for the American Red Cross.

The Hartt School, the performing arts conservatory at the University of Hartford, is hosting a myriad of diverse entertainments for the remainder of January and February including: Senior Vocal Recital, Concert for Haiti, Dance With Full Force Dance Theatre, and Amiri Baraka and Blue Ark.

The Triad and Lee Summers hosted the 'Just A Piano Open Mic Launch: A Benefit For Haiti' last night, January 31st. The 'Just A Piano' concept broadened for this series inviting singers to also bring accompanists or pre-recorded tracks, musical instruments or play on The Triad's recently refurbished baby grand. All proceeds from the event were donated to The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and The American Red Cross.
