The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 2009 Season with American playwright Lillian Hellman's compelling work, The Little Foxes beginning performances on June 3 and continuing through June 28 at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage - The F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue at Lancaster Road in Madison.

Variety is reporting that Sandra Oh, Giancarlo Esposito and Jon Tenney will join Aaron Eckhart, Tammy Blanchard, Oscar winner Dianne Wiest, Miles Teller and Nicole Kidman in the big screen adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire's Broadway play 'Rabbit Hole.'

Sundance Institute Announces 5 Chosen Projects For Theatre Lab Held 7/7-22

Sundance Institute today announced the five projects chosen for the 2009 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab to be held July 7 -22 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Under the stewardship of Sundance Institute Theatre Program's Artistic Director Philip Himberg, the projects and participants selected for this year's residency are: Diagram of a Paper Airplane (Carlos Murillo); An Iliad (Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson); The Lily's Revenge (Taylor Mac); Ngwino Ubeho (Come and Be Alive) (Odile Gakire Gatire); and Palomino (David Cale).

Foothills Theater School Offers 3 Winter Session Classes

Foothills Theatre School is offering three classes for their winter session. Classes are being offered starting January 31 and running till March 24th. The goal for the education program at Foothills Theatre is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable environment where students of all ages and backgrounds are able to increase their knowledge, develop as performers, become life long lovers of the arts, and most importantly grow as individuals. The skills and knowledge learned in the various classes and programs will help to encourage and build social interaction skills that translate to daily life, as well as professional careers related or unrelated to the theatrical professions.

No '30 ROCK' Stop for Streep - SAG Story 'Not True'

The Huffington Post is reporting that despite word that Meryl Streep would be making an appearance on the NBC comedy '30 rock', Alec Baldwin's publicist has squashed the rumors, stating, it is 'not true.' The New York Daily News reported that backstage at the 15th Annual SAG Award last Sunday, Jan. 25th, Award winner Alec Baldwin asked fellow SAG honoree Meryl Streep to appear on his show, NBC's 30 Rock and it didn't take too much for the legendary star to agree. 'Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show. She said yes immediately' reports a source. Sadly the rumor was not true.

Backstage at the 15th Annual SAG Award last Sunday, Jan. 25th, Award winner Alec Baldwin asked fellow SAG honoree Meryl Streep to appear on his show, NBC's 30 Rock and it didn't take too much for the legendary star to agree. 'Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show. She said yes immediately' reports a source.Meryl Streep, who stars in the film Doubt as the stern Sister Aloysius, won the 2008 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for playing the part. Alec Baldwin won the 2008 SAG Award for Best Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in NBC's 30 ROCK. 30 ROCK picked up Best Comedy honors as well.

The 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were simulcast Live Nationally on TNT and TBS last night, Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, and 6 p.m. MT from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. Stage and screen favorites such as Meryl Streep, Laura Linney and Alec Baldwin all took home awards for their fantastic work, BroadwayWorld had cameras everywhere from the Red Carpet to the Winners Stage in the Press Room to bring you all the starry action! Of the top industry accolades presented to performers, only the Screen Actors Guild Awards are selected solely by actors' peers. Two randomly selected panels-one for television and one for film-each comprised of 2,100 Guild members from across the United States, chose this year's Actor and stunt honors nominees. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official teller mailed the nominations secret ballots were mailed on November 26. Voting was completed by noon Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008.
