The 2017 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 19 categories, with three honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by actor and comedian Taran Killam. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund.
The Playwrights Realm, led by Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director, and Roberta Pereira, Producing Director, will celebrate its tenth anniversary with the annual Writers Block Party honoring Realm Board Member and award-winning playwright and actor, Anna Deavere Smith.
Earlier this morning, Laura Benanti (She Loves Me, Gypsy) and Javier Muñoz (Hamilton, In the Heights) announced the nominations for the 62nd Annual Drama Desk Awards.
Ducdame Ensemble adds classical musicians and TV personalities to their SHAKESPEARE SINGS Concert on Sunday April 23rd. Founding Members Tedra Millan (PRESENT LAUGHTER, THE WOLVES) and Sam Gilroy (Showtime's BILLIONS) will co-host the celebration commemorating Shakespeare's birthday. Ethan Paulini directs, and Nissa Kahle provides the Music Direction. The event serves as a fundraiser for Ducdame Ensemble.

Producer Jordan Roth announced today details for the digital lottery for the highly-anticipated revival of Noel Coward's Present Laughter which begins performances on Broadway this coming Friday, March 10 for a limited 16-week run. A limited quantity of $42 lottery tickets to each performance will be available through online entry at http://laughteronbroadway.com/lottery. Lottery winners will be notified by text message and email by noon the day prior to the performance. Purchase must be completed online by credit card only, with one entry per person (no age restrictions) and up to 2 tickets per winner. There is no day-of rush ticket availability during previews.
