Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter JD Souther brings an intimate concert experience to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre in Malibu on Sunday, October 14 at 7 p.m.

On August 31, acclaimed singer songwriter Callaghan released her new self-titled album 'Callaghan'. The release follows a hugely successful summer of touring which included playing at British Summer Time in Hyde Park, London, on the same bill as Paul Simon & James Taylor, and at the Telluride Americana Music Festival here in the US. 

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to present New York City singer/pianist Brad Simmons in his one-man musical performance Storytellers on Saturday, September 29 at 7 pm and Sunday, September 30 at 3 pm at the historic Bangor Opera House. In Storytellers, Mr. Simmons shares his journey from Alabama to New York City through celebrating the songwriting genius of such legendary recording artists as Paul Simon, Billy Joel, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks and James Taylor.  

Carnegie Hall launches its 2018-2019 season on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. with a festive Opening Night Gala concert by the San Francisco Symphony under the baton of Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas, with a program to include Gershwin's Cuban Overture and An American in Paris as well as Liszt's Mephisto Waltz No. 1. Mr. Tilson Thomas and the orchestra will be joined on this celebratory occasion by renowned vocalists Renee Fleming and Audra McDonald offering vocal selections by Gershwin, Rodgers, Villa-Lobos, Stephen Sondheim, and others.

Mark Stuart Dance Theatre (MSDT) will celebrate their 10th anniversary gala, honoring 10 years of art inspiring change, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 5pm at New York Live Arts Theater (219 W 19th St).  The gala will include a performance of When Change Comes: A Movement Forward, which is playing a limited tour in September of 2018.  Featuring special performances from Abigail Breslin (Academy Award nominee, Little Miss Sunshine), "American Idol" alum Jerome Bell, and singer/songwriter Matt Cusson (John Lennon Songwriting Award winner, 'One of Those Nights' & 'Leaving L.A.'), and more, this one-night event marks a decade of MSDT's physically stunning and emotionally compelling storytelling making bold statements about our society.  A portion of the proceeds from the Gala will go directly to benefit March for Our Lives. 

 The Music Center announced it will present two star-studded concerts, JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on November 6 and November 7, 2018, featuring an incredible array of singers and musicians who will honor one of the world's most remarkable artists, Joni Mitchell, on her 75th birthday.  On both nights, Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Seal, and Rufus Wainwright, will perform songs from all stages of Mitchell's life and career, across the entire oeuvre of her 19 studio albums.  Co-musical directors, providing the musical arrangements for the evenings, are drummer Brian Blade, who recorded three studio albums and toured extensively with Mitchell, and, pianist, composer, arranger producer Jon Cowherd. 

Husband-and-wife duo John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey make their annual fall pilgrimage to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, American Stories, November 6-17. The New York Times recently described John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey as "the supreme nightclub act of our time." A world-renowned guitarist and singer, John Pizzarelli has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years and has established himself as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook. Jessica Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows including the revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, which was nominated for nine Tony Awards. TIME has raved, "Sophisticated, jazzy and engaging, the Astaire-Rodgers of the cabaret world are at the top of their game."

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) will present Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Diaries 2018. The concerts will take place at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street) Wednesday, October 10 through Sunday, October 28, 2018. Tickets will be available to NYTW members and donors beginning at Noon EST on Wednesday, September 5 at NYTW.org. Limited tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, September 20.

Legendary country duo the LOUVIN BROTHERS (1956-1963) were arguably one of the biggest country duos of their time, and unreleased demo recordings from their early years will be heard for the first time September 28 when Modern Harmonic releases Love And Wealth: The Lost Recordings. The 29 songs (and one warm, spoken audio letter) have never been released before, although a few of these cuts have been covered by other artists. After appearing together nationwide in symphony concerts and being paired as co-stars in two hit New York productions - first, Stephen Sondheim's dark and emotional Passion at Classic Stage Company, followed by Yip Harburg & Burton Lane's delicious and politically-edged fairy tale Finian's Rainbow at Irish Repertory Theatre, Melissa Errico and Ryan Silverman just offered their first duo show together at Feinstein's/54 Below, "Broadway Romance" which played to sold-out crowds last week on August 6 & 7.

Based on a film starring Jack Lemmon, Walther Matthau and Ann-Margret that hit movie theaters 25 years ago, Grumpy Old Men the Musical is currently playing at the Ogunquit Playhouse in what is touted as the US premiere of the production.

Gary Crosby presents the sensational Jazz Jamaica All Stars with special guests Brinsley Forde (Aswad), Noel McKoy and rising vocal stars, Dem Three. THE TROJAN STORY is a spectacular live concert chronicling 50 years of the legendary label and artists of Trojan Records. There will be three performances - on Thursday 20 September, Royal Festival Hall; Saturday 29 September, Brighton Dome and Saturday 17 November, Hull City Hall (part of the Hull Jazz Festival).

Five-time Grammy-Award nominated musician and singer/songwriter, GORDON LIGHTFOOT, returns to Minneapolis as part of the BMO Harris Bank Living Legends series at the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave.) on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. The evening of classic hits includes "If You Could Read My Mind," "Carefree Highway," "Sundown", as well as deep cuts for lifelong fans.  He'll also share behind the scenes stories from his legendary 50 year career.

For two nights only, stage and screen stars Melissa Errico and Ryan Silverman reunite on the 54 Below stage to sing some dazzling love songs, in every sense of the word, in A Broadway Romance. I was fortunate to get the chance to talk to them about everything from what to expect in 'A Broadway Romance', and how they got their start in theatre, to what keeps them coming back to the stage, parenthood, and more in the interview below!

Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a grumpy ride! The Ogunquit Playhouse is proud to produce the U.S. premiere of the new musical-comedy, Grumpy Old Men the Musical on stage from August 8 to September 1 - just in time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the hit film that starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret. This hilarious new show was penned by Dan Remmes, with music by Neil Berg and lyrics by Nick Meglin. Director for the Ogunquit production of Grumpy Old Men the Musical is Matt Lenz.

Working is returning! Carolee Carmello, Javier Munoz, Gerry Vichi, and Mary Callanan will perform in the 40th Anniversary concert of Working at Feinstein's/54 Below on Sunday, August 12th at 7:00pm and 9:30pm.
