Prescott Fine Arts Association Presents THE SHADOW BOX, Opens 11/5

Prescott Fine Arts Association opens THE SHADOW BOX on November 5th with a champagne reception following that performance. The director is Jonathan (JP) Perpich. The dates and times are November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 at 7:30 pm, and two matinees on November 8 and 14 at 2:00 pm.

PFAA Reader's Theatre Presents ANIMAL FARM 11/15

Prescott Fine Arts Association is partnering with the Prescott Public Library to present Reader's Theatre performances free to the public. Animal Farm will be performed on Sunday, November 15th in the Library's Founders Suite at 2 p.m.

Prescott Fine Arts presents the first concert of the Season, Around the World in Music, on Saturday, September 26th at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Ticket prices are $12.00 for adults and $5.00 for youths 12 years and under, which benefit PFAA's Scholarships for Youth.

RIALTO CHATTER: 'Menudo' Headed For Broadway?

Enormously popular 1980s Latin boy band Menudo might be headed to the Broadway stage. According to reports, Menudo founder Edgardo Diaz is preparing a musical utilizing songs made famous by the group. The context in which the music will be used is not yet known. The production is said to be produced on a grand scale, and casting will take place all over Latin America. The show is scheduled to premiere in Caracas, Venezuela this November.

Kennedy Center Celebrates Millennium Stage 12th Anniversary with BROADWAY TODAY 1/31

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the 12th Anniversary of the Millennium Stage on January 31, 2009 with 'Broadway Today'-a star-studded, free concert, produced by Michael A. Kerker and presented in cooperation with ASCAP, in the Opera House as a part of the Center's season-long artistic initiative Broadway: The Third Generation. With the composers at the piano, original cast members and Broadway stars perform signature songs that made these artists household names. Free tickets are required. Tickets will be given away one (1) per person in line in front of the Opera House beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

Tharp and Costello's 'Nightspot' Opens in LA 10/24

The 2008-2009 season of Dance at the Music Center opens with the return of Miami City Ballet led by Artistic Director Edward Villella, performing the much anticipated West Coast premiere of NIGHTSPOT, a Twyla Tharp and Elvis Costello collaboration, October 24-26 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
