DCPA Theatre Company Announces Playwrights For The 16th Annual Colorado New Play Summit

The DCPA Theatre Company has announced playwrights, dates, and details for the 2022 Colorado New Play Summit. The 16th annual festival will take place over two weekends, February 25-26 and March 4-6, and feature readings of new plays by James Ijames, Kimber Lee, Leonard Madrid, and Kirsten Potter.

Trinity Rep Adds Three New Company Members

Three new artists will join Trinity Repertory Company's resident company in the 2021-22 Season. Tatyana-Marie Carlo, Rachel Christopher, and Taavon Gamble have each worked with Trinity Rep for many years and will take on a more active role with the organization by joining the company. PCPA InterPlay Returns With Four New Play Readings

PCPA brings back InterPlay readings from February 26 through March 20 - with four new plays, each being read twice over the course of four weekends. The readings are all live streamed via Zoom. The series includes The Mountaintop, Into the Breeches!, Two Degrees, and Fade. Performances are 7pm Fridays and 1:30pm on Saturdays. $10 per viewer or $40 for all four.

Sundance Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides and preserves the space for independent artists in film, theatre, and media to create and thrive, and Ucross, a prestigious artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts, and have announced seven fellows participating in the 21st annual Sundance Institute Artist Residency at Ucross in Wyoming, currently taking place February 3-21, 2020. This year, the retreat was renamed (formerly the Sundance Institute Playwrights & Composers Retreat) to reflect its cross-disciplinary structure.

SCRUBS & COUGAR TOWN to Have Reunions at ATX Television Festival

ATX Television Festival has announced additional programming for year nine of the festival, which will take place June 4-7, 2020, in Austin, Texas.   ATX Season 9 will include reunions for two beloved comedies from creator/director/executive producer  Bill Lawrence: “Scrubs,” and “Cougar Town,” which was co-created by Kevin Biegel (“Enlisted”). Lawrence will join “Scrubs” cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, Neil Flynn and Christa Miller for a reunion panel celebrating 10 years since the series finale. 

Trinity Repertory Company Raised More Than $60,000 for RI Community Food Bank

Trinity Repertory Company has announced that $60,445.55 was raised for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank from the 2019 A Christmas Carol audiences - the second-highest amount ever raised in the thirteen years donations have been requested. Since 2006, this tradition has been a part of the theater's commitment to its community and a reminder to audiences to bring the spirit of Dickens' story into their lives and the rest of Rhode Island. This year's collection brings the total raised over the past thirteen years to more than $667,500.
