Northlight Theatre Presents World Premiere Of HOW A BOY FALLS

Evans, continues its 2019-2020 season with the World Premiere of How a Boy Falls, written by Steven Dietz and directed by Halena Kays. How a Boy Falls runs January 23 a?" MC-10 Playwrights Find Home at 16th Street Theater

16th Street Theater is the new home of Chicago's MC-10 Playwrights' Ensemble, a collection of ten of the country's most sought-after established and mid-career Chicago playwrights and theatre-makers.

2018 New Stages Fest Lineup Announced

This fall, Goodman Theatre presents its New Stages Festival-a free annual celebration and discovery of new plays by some of the country's finest established and emerging playwrights. Audiences experience a first look at seven new works-including three fully staged developmental productions (performed in repertory) There's Always the Hudson by Paola Lazaro-Muñoz; Felons and Familias by Sandra Delgado; Graveyard Shift by Korde Arrington Tuttle. In addition, four staged readings appear during the last weekend of the festival (October 4-7) including The Wizards by Ricardo Gamboa; Between Covers by Sarah Schulman; Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle; and Cressida on Top by Paula Vogel.

Greenhouse Theater Center Announces MC-10 PLAYWRIGHTS ENSEMBLE

Greenhouse Theater Center (GTC) and Artistic Director Jacob Harvey are pleased to announce the formation of the new MC-10 Playwrights Ensemble, a collection of ten of the country's most sought-after established and mid-career Chicago playwrights and theatre-makers. The ensemble will be in residence at the Greenhouse Theater Center and will create new works for its stages. Beginning with the 2018-19 season, the Greenhouse will present one play per season by MC-10 member playwrights, eventually expanding to two MC-10 productions per season. These world and regional premieres aim to expand the scope, diversity and visibility of work happening at the Greenhouse and underscore the institution's commitment to creating new vital works for the American theatrical canon.
