The boys are back in town! This month features the limited engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The musical will make its much-anticipated return to West Palm Beach to play the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on November 23 through November 24 for three performances.
This morning, Film Independent announced the nominations for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at the W Hotel in Hollywood, with actors Gemma Chan and Molly Shannon presenting the nominations. Nominees for Best Feature included Eighth Grade, First Reformed, If Beale Street Could Talk, Leave No Trace and You Were Never Really Here.
'Before This New Year,' a coming-of-age identity and right-of-first-passage love story by playwright Liana Sonenclar, will play a reading for industry on Monday, November 19th at 7 PM, at the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street, and will feature a notable cast. The play is helmed by director Kimberly Loren Eaton, who has been working on the development of the piece with Sonenclar the past several months through her creative development and production company Theatrum Mundi Productions.
Theatr Clwyd today announces new work for 2019. Following its previously announced West End transfer, Artistic Director Tamara Harvey's smash hit production of Laura Wade's Home, I'm Darling, will return home to Theatr Clwyd for the final week of April - in a co-production with the National Theatre and Fiery Angel. Also opening at the company's home base is a major revival of Tennessee Williams' Orpheus Descending - in a first-time co-production with London's Menier Chocolate Factory. Following performances in Wales Tamara Harvey's production transfers to the Menier Chocolate Factory.

Tacoma Little Theatre continues its 100th Anniversary season and celebrates the holidays with the holiday classic SCROOGE! THE MUSICAL. This musical, with book, music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, is adapted from the 1970 film Scrooge which starred Albert Finney and Sir Alec Guinness, and is directed by Micheal O'Hara, musically directed by Zachary Kellogg, and choreographed by Eric Clausell.

Produced by Shaftesbury and Greenpoint Productions Ltd., the thrilling drama is directed by Canadian Screen Award Winner T.J. Scott (Orphan Black, Star Trek: Discovery), with Malcolm MacRury (Saving Hope) joining as showrunner, and created by Vincent Shiao (Ransom, Aftermath). With principal photography now underway in Toronto, the Canada/UK co- production will also shoot in London, England. The project was developed by Shaftesbury in association with Corus Entertainment and Red Arrow Studios International.
