Levitt at the Falls announces its first free outdoor concert set for Friday, August 3rd at the 8th & RR Center in Sioux Falls at 7 PM. The concert will be a one-of-a-kind musical collaboration between Southern raconteur Paul Thorn and his five-piece band and GRAMMY-winning gospel legends Blind Boys of Alabama.

A stunning tale about the search for beauty in desperate circumstances, the Steppenwolf production features the original cast members, Omar Metwally (Humayun) and Arian Moayed (Babur), whom Amy Morton directed in the Off-Broadway world premiere which received rave reviews when it premiered in 2015 and won the 2016 Obie Award for Best New American Play.
Dawsondancesf and Richard Howell have announced their newest collaboration will take place August 24-25 at the YBCA Theater in San Francisco. Borrowing from the title of Howell's just-released jazz album, Coming of Age-MANGAKU, the program will feature the world premiere of MANGAKU, a work for nine dancers with live musical accompaniment from Howell and guest artists. Rounding out the program is Floating in Mid Air, dawsondancesf and Howell's last collaboration, which received its premiere at San Francisco's Bayview Opera House earlier this year. Tickets, $25 - $65, will go on sale June 1 at dawsondancesf.org.

Morton directed the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway world premiere, which won the 2016 Obie Award for Best New American Play.
