The Festival of New American Musicals, headed by its Executive Producers Marcia Seligson, Bob Klein, and Linda Shusett is announcing two events. The first is a closing party on Saturday, August 22 from 3 to 6 pm, honoring Stephen Schwartz, open to the public with donation. There will be performances of songs from Schwartz' musicals performed by Peter Gallagher, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Graham Phillips, David Burnham, Susan Egan, Georgia Stitt and others.

VOX Femina, whose recent concerts have featured Broadway elite such as Rachel York, Susan Egan, and Smithsonian inductee, Florence Henderson was chosen to perform the National Anthem by The Los Angeles Sparks at The Staples Center for their 'Awesome August' Inspiring Women theme.

The McCoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts (MRCA) will launch the nation?s only ?Summer Stock? for talented young musical theatre performers, selected by audition from Southern California and throughout the United States, to be held in Orange County, California from July 13 through August 15, 2009. Sixty exceptionally talented young singers and dancers with aspirations for careers on Broadway and in the entertainment industry, ages 14-21, will participate in this intensive five week repertory program consisting of master classes, workshops and rehearsals and culminating in the performance of three fully-staged musical theatre productions.
