Kenneth Branagh's highly-anticipated New York stage debut in an immersive and visceral staging of Macbeth at the Park Avenue Armory officially opened last night, June 5. Branagh is a five time Academy Award nominee and will be making his NY stage-debut in this production. The production also stars Alex Kingston who is well-known for her role in Doctor Who, as well as Richard Coyle, Scarlett Strallen, Tom Godwin, Edward Harrison, Dylan Clark Marshall, and Kate Tydman. Earlier today, The New York Post's Michael Riedel reported that the highly anticipated new musical FINDING NEVERLAND, which tells the story of J.M. Barrie and the creation of 'Peter Pan,' has received a coveted performance slot in this Sunday's Tony Awards, to be broadcast live on CBS. Now, Jennifer Hudson has just announced via Twitter that she will sing from the new musical. She writes: 'So excited ! I'll be performing a song from the upcoming musical Finding Neverland @TheTonyAwards ! Tune in this Sun at 8/7c. #TonyAwards'

As previously reported, Julian Ovenden and Rosalie Craig will star in a new musical version of the film Finding Neverland, which starred Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. The musical will feature Ovenden as Barrie, a role he played in two London workshops last winter, and Craig as Sylvia. The show begins rehearsals July 30 with a four to five week run scheduled at the Curve Theatre in Leicester. Performances will begin on September 21 and will run through October 18, 2012.

The sell-out Menier Chocolate Factory production of La Cage Aux Folles has now transferred to the Playhouse Theatre and is set to run until September 26th.
The show is starring Graham Norton and Steven Pacey.
The idyllic existence of Georges and the dazzling drag artiste Albin, star of the La Cage aux Folles club, is threatened when Georges' son announces his engagement to the daughter of a right-wing politician, who wants to close down the local colourful nightlife! With a visit from the prospective in-laws imminent, they all decide to take drastic action to hide their lifestyle... but can they keep it up?

The director is Jamie Lloyd with set design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Neil Austin, sound design by Christopher Shutt and original composition by Ben and Max Ringham.
