Open Stage of Harrisburg continues their 30th anniversary season with PETER, HOOK, & THE DARLINGS, an adaption of of J.M. Barrie's classic, November 27 to December 13, 2015. Open Stage of Harrisburg continues its 28th season with the regional premiere of Bruce Norris' award-winning play, Clybourne Park, running from April 11 through May 3. Winner of a Tony Award for Best Play, the Olivier Award, the Evening Standard Award, and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this cutting-edge, wickedly funny satire digs into the heart of race and real estate in the suburbs of Chicago. Inspired by historical events, the play begins in 1959 when a white couple sells their home to the neighborhood's first black family, and thus sparks controversy. Fifty years later, the house is again changing hands, this time to a young white couple moving into the now black community.

Donald Alsedek directs a fine cast in a powerful adaptation of Capote's classic Christmas short story

This vividly written, moving and very funny tale will be presented by Open Stage of Harrisburg November 29 to December 29, 2013 and is the second play in Season 28 at the professional theatre located at 223 Walnut St, on the Street level of the Walnut Street Garage in Downtown Harrisburg. This production will be a Northeast Premier of A CHRISTMAS MEMORY, which was created by dramatist Duane Poole, composer Larry Grossman and lyricist Carol Hall (The Beast Little Whorehouse in Texas). Open Stage Executive Artistic Director Donald L. Alsedek directs the production.

Open Stage of Harrisburg will stage a brand-new production of Dylan Thomas' A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES, a play with music, directed by Executive Artistic Director Donald L. Alsedek. Based on the author's timeless holiday story and other iconic works, this Child's Christmas weaves prose, poetry and live, traditional Welsh music into a tapestry of nostalgia and celebration befitting the season.
