Ten UK school and youth theatre companies will stage ten new plays at the 2018 National Theatre Connections Festival, which takes place in the Dorfman Theatre from 26-30 June.

A unique one-off outdoor performance of The Last Ship in Newcastle that was due to be held on Bank Holiday Monday has been cancelled, it has been announced.

This summer, two new musicals will arrive at the DR2 Theatre (103 E 15th St, New York, NY), playing performances on an ongoing rotating schedule.

The Cherrytree Music Company and Live Nation announced today that following a European summer tour, Sting & Shaggy will bring their dynamic and vibrant joint live show to a variety of North American venues this fall.  Performing in intimate clubs and theatres, the iconic artists will combine their bands to play songs from their recently-released, island-flavored collaborative album, 44/876 (A&M/Interscope Records), and to collaborate on each other's most celebrated hits such as 'Every Breath You Take,' 'Englishman In New York,' 'Message In A Bottle,' 'It Wasn't Me,' 'Mr. Boombastic' and 'Angel.' 

Multiple GRAMMY Award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin will be featured at the New York Guitar Festival, Brookfield Place Winter Garden, 230 Vesey St., New York City on Saturday, May 19 at 7:30pm. Admission is free.

THE FREDERICK DOUGLASS PROJECT is an innovative and ambitious world premiere musical commissioned by Solas Nua. The production blends two fresh and significant dramatic voices, each with a unique perspective on the same time and themes. Staged on a pier jutting into the Anacostia River, the production gains added resonance in the shadow of Douglass' historic home at Cedar Hill and the bridge that bears his name. The site-specific staging heightens the drama and creates a memorable theater experience.

A unique one-off outdoor performance of The Last Ship, that will include its creator Sting who will be performing live alongside the cast, is to be held in Newcastle later this month, alongside the very river that helped inspire and shape the show.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today the lineup for Celebrity Autobiography performing at 8pm Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Moody Performance Hall in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
