NEUROSIS and Katie Thompson's R.R.R.E.D Will Come to the DR2 Theatre This Summer

This summer, two new musicals will arrive at the DR2 Theatre (103 E 15th St, New York, NY), playing performances on an ongoing rotating schedule.

NEUROSIS, with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards, will have its New York City premiere, directed by Andy Sandberg (Straight, Application Pending), and choreographed by Shea Sullivan (Pageant), beginning performances July 25, 2018 and officially opening on August 17.

R.R.R.E.D., with music and lyrics by Katie Thompson and a book by Adam Jackman, Katie Thompson and Patrick Livingston, will begin performances July 28, 2018, and officially open on August 19. R.R.R.E.D. is directed by Andy Sandberg and choreographed by Shea Sullivan.

A modern musical comedy with a psychiatric twist, NEUROSIS is a story about finding happiness, falling in love, and dealing with that little voice in your head along the way. Casting will be announced at a later date.

"We couldn't be more excited for Neurosis to have its Off-Broadway premiere," said Neurosis writers Allan Rice, Ben Green and Greg Edwards. "We just hope someone in New York will be able to relate to our story of anxiety and self-doubt."

NEUROSIS features Scenic Design by Charlie Corcoran (Shining City, Irish Rep), Lighting Design by Jake DeGroot (Oh, Hello), Costume Design by Tony Award nominee Michael McDonald (Hair), Sound Design by David Sanderson (Pageant), Casting by Jason Styres, CSA, and the production stage manager is Gregory Fletcher.

The performance schedule for NEUROSIS is Wednesdays at 7:30pm, Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, and Saturdays at 2:30pm.

By the year 2100, the recessive gene that causes red-hair may cease to exist. Now, in the year 2018, a secret redheaded revolutionary organization is taking matters into their own hands, fighting back against their imminent extinction and standing up for the rights of redheads everywhere. Katie Thompson (Giant; Pump Boys & Dinettes) and Matt Loehr (The Sting) will star, with additional casting to be announced, including a rotating celebrity guest cameo.
