Scoop: Food Network's April Highlights

Food Network springs into action this April with all-new exciting series and season premieres of your favorite shows. Hit the streets with Bobby Flay and daughter Sophie Flay as they search for the greatest local dishes around, on new series The Flay List, premiering Thursday, April 11th at 10:30pm. Restaurant: Impossible returns with Chef Robert Irvine on Saturday, April 20th at 9pm as he takes on the challenge of turning around a failing restaurant in just two days. Starting on Sunday, April 21st at 9pm, watch chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence take on the worst celebrity cooks with the hope of transforming them from kitchen disasters into kitchen masters, on a new season of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. Also, in primetime, catch the epic grand finale of Buddy Vs. Duff, plus premieres of Beat Bobby Flay, Chopped, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Family Food Showdown and Guy's Grocery Games. In daytime, catch the exciting return of 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray, kicking off 30 days of 30 new episodes on Monday, April 1st at 12pm. Then, Ina Garten returns with a new season of Barefoot Contessa: Cook Like a Pro onSunday, April 21st at 11:30am. EVANGELINE Starring Chilina Kennedy Receives New York Showcase

Toronto's Coal Mine Theatre, in association with Eclipse Theatre Company and Kliffer Entertainment, have convened an all-star cast led by Chilina Kennedy for a four-day reading and invitation-only showcase for potential producers and presenters of Ted Dykstra's epic musical EVANGELINE, February 28 at The Actors Temple in New York City.

London Philharmonic Orchestra Announces 2019/20 Royal Festival Hall Season

The London Philharmonic Orchestra today announced its 2019/20 season at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, confirming its reputation for bold, creative and distinctive programming that continues to inspire audiences on a journey of exploration and adventure. The London Philharmonic Orchestra has been performing at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall since it opened in 1951, becoming Resident Orchestra there in 1992.

Sonoran Psychedelics XIXA Debut THE CODE EP via Kerrang Ahead of Release This Friday, Heading to SXSW

After the unveiling of their darkly theatrical western epic “The Code,” Arizona mainstays XIXA are emerging from the darkest, dustiest depths of the desert and bringing their uniquely mysterious brand of psychedelia to the masses. Today, the six-piece debuts their latest EP ahead of this Friday's release via Kerrang!, who calls the EP “a soundtrack to a spaghetti western film - if that film was about a dustry, goth nightclub in the middle of the Sonoran desert.” The Code EP blends psych-rock, cumbia, goth rock, cowboy folk and windswept desert blues into a dark, simmering occult stew, mesmerizing the listener and then leaving them in the aftermath of a dust storm, wondering what is to come.

Cris Jacobs to Release New Album 'Color Where You Are'

 Cris Jacobswill release Color Where You Are, the full-length follow up to his critically acclaimed 2016 album Dust to Gold, on April 12, 2019. Releasing through Blue Rose Music, Color Where You Arefollows Jacobs' brand of rock, Americana, and soul through the next steps of his life; coming off of a few years of extensive touring, learning to recognize the current political climate and its divisive nature, and most importantly, becoming a husband and a father. Jacobs and band members Todd Herrington (bass), Dusty Ray Simmons (drums/percussion), and Jonathan Sloane (guitar) self-produced Color Where You Are together, piecing together songs that Jacobs found time to write “between tours, coming home, changing diapers, fixing things around the house… whenever I could.' The album's title references Jacobs' no longer having the luxury of waiting for inspiration to strike. Cris Jacobs “colored where he was”.

New York Int'l Children's Film Festival Announces Short Film Lineup

Oscar-qualifying New York Int'l Children's Film Festival announced the complete short film lineup for its 2019 event, which runs February 22-March 17 at theaters throughout New York: IFC Center, Scandinavia House, Quad Cinemas, SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, Alamo Drafthouse and the Museum of the Moving Image. Established in 1997, the acclaimed Festival is the nation's largest for children and teens and will present new animated, live action, documentary and experimental shorts and features from 37 countries. Incoming Studio R&D artists are playwrights James Fritz, James Ijames, Steph Del Rosso, and Emily Schwend, as well as directors Carl Cofield, Lila Neugebauer, and Eric Ruffin. These exciting talents from the US and UK will have Studio's full support in creating aesthetically diverse new work to be presented in future seasons and introduced into the international repertoire. As they create Studio-specific works, commissioned artists will visit Studio to get to know its theatres, programming, and audiences in person.
