ABT Adds Four Shows To 2018-19 Season; Tickets on Sale July 14

Alberta Bair Theater has added four additional shows since the season preview for its stakeholders on May 24:  for fans of 60's rock: Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish's RASCALS with special guest Carmine Appice on drums on Friday, September 7 at 7:30; for fans of 80's rock and Broadway musicals: ROCK OF AGES on Monday, November 19 at 7:30;  for a fun ladies night out during the holidays: 'Twas a Girls Night Before Christmas on Friday, December 14 at 7:30;  and for family entertainment at its best the multi Tony awarded THE SOUND OF MUSIC on Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9, both at 7:30.

MOVIN' MELVIN BROWN Gets Toronto Premiere! July 6-15

Rhythm and Blues legend Movin' Melvin Brown is bringing his unique blend of singing, grooving and shaking to Toronto Fringe 2018! After rave reviews worldwide, Melvin is ready to get Toronto dancing with a full length show packed with iconic tunes, legendary dance moves and good times all around, along with incredible true stories from his fascinating and inspirational life.

Mosaic Theater Company Announces Co-Production with Baltimore Center Stage and Congo Square Theatre Company in Association with The Apollo Theater

The eighth and final production of Mosaic Theater Company's upcoming fourth season will be Twisted Melodies, a critically acclaimed one-man show about the life and music of troubled genius Donny Hathaway performed by the multi-talented Kelvin Roston Junior. Twisted Melodies is being produced by Baltimore Center Stage and Congo Square Theatre Company in association with The Apollo Theater and Mosaic in a unique three-city co-production.

The Sourland Mountain Music Festival to Bring Music Explosion to Sourland Mountains

The Sourland Mountain Music Festival is about to explode! After 14 years growing from a small gathering at Hillbilly Hall to a festival large enough to be held on a Polo field on top of the Sourland Mountains, the 2018 Festival promises to be the best ever. In addition to a wonderful line-up of original bands from around the region, there'll be great food and drink from local sources and lots of activities for families.

Acclaimed Vocalist DAANI Releases Electro R&B Pop Single ALL OF A SUDDEN

Entitled 'All Of A Sudden' the single showcases DAANI's powerful lyrics and slinky electronic beats with modern R&B soundscapes. DAANI has been compared to artists such as Sia, Jessie Ware and Lapsley among others and has found success with her last single being the official song for the Hunger Games Mockingjay trailer. 

The Apollo Theater Announces Two New Performances

The Apollo Theater today announced that it will bring to its iconic stage two new performances that continue its commitment to articulating and projecting the African American narrative through arts and culture.  In October 2018, The Apollo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud," the Godfather of Soul James Brown's seminal Black Power anthem, with the premiere of Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud at 50 under the musical direction of six-time GRAMMY®- Award-winner Christian McBride.  In May of 2019, in a co-production between The Apollo, Baltimore Center Stage, and Mosaic Theater, Kelvin Roston Jr. will pay homage to Donny Hathaway in the New York premiere of the one man play Twisted Melodies.  Tickets for both productions will go on sale July 1st.

Make Music Day Announces Lineup; MAMMA MIA Sing Along, Jessica Keenan Wynn and More

Make Music New York, a one-of-a-kind festival occurring each June 21, today announced its full schedule of over 1,000 free outdoor concerts, music lessons and jam sessions in public spaces across the five boroughs. The daylong musical celebration on the summer solstice is the flagship event of Make Music Day, which is being held in more than 80 U.S. cities and has become a global phenomenon observed by hundreds of millions of people in 800 cities in 120 countries.

Last night, sixteen Broadway stars were featured in Broadway Sings Kelly Clarkson, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous fifteen concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna. On August 20, the series will continue with Broadway Sings Alanis Morissette.

After five years of teaching, running a theatre department, singing in a big band, and fighting cancer, Singer/Actor BRUCE CLOUGH returns to the New York DON'T TELL MAMA stage--the scene of his many past Cabaret triumphs--to celebrate times in his life when something awesome came from something awful. On Sunday, July 15 at 3:30 PM, Bruce brings SILVER LININGS to Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St., between 8th & 9th Ave). Featuring his Musical Director Jeff Dershin on piano, and backup vocalists Barbara Gurskey and Stephen Belfatti, Bruce will tell his poignant and inspirational life stories through classic Broadway show tunes, popular film songs, and eclectic pop music from the 1960s to the 2000s, featuring compositions by Irving Berlin, Jerry Herman, Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman, Jonathan Larson, Van Morrison, Weird Al Yankovic, and more.
