The Cast of ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, Renee Fleming, & More to Perform at A CAPITOL FOURTH on PBS

This July 4th, America's national Independence Day celebration kicks off our country's 242nd birthday, as A CAPITOL FOURTH on PBS welcomes back Emmy Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos (FULLER HOUSE, SCREAM QUEENS) to host the festivities.  Broadcast live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, this time-honored 38 year-tradition puts viewers front and center for America's biggest birthday party with the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation lighting up the iconic D.C. skyline.  The country's longest-running live national July 4TV tradition will feature all-star musical performances by: multi-platinum selling music legend Jimmy Buffett with the Broadway cast of the new musical ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, making their first stop after Broadway at the U.S. Capitol as they launch a national tour; 'America's Band," the iconic multi-platinum selling music legendsThe Beach Boys; three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artistPentatonix; legendary Motown stars The Temptations; acclaimed multi-platinum country music singer-songwriter and winner of the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Country Artist Luke Combs; country music star and AMERICAN IDOL alum Lauren Alaina; 12-time Grammy Award-winner and gospel legend CeCe Winans; and internationally acclaimed Grammy award winning violinist Joshua Bell; with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly (additional performers to be announced).

Michael Feinstein & The Pasadena Pops Kick-Off The Summer With Broadway Hits From Gershwin To Sondheim

Principal Pops Conductor Michael Feinstein opens the 2018 Pasadena POPS Sierra Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 23rd with That's Entertainment: Gershwin to Sondheim. The POPS season opener will cover the gamut of the Great American Songbook from jazz standards to Broadway hits, and vintage charts that can't be heard anywhere else. Hear your Broadway favorites from Porgy and Bess and An American in Paris to Company and Follies, plus popular standards and vintage archival surprises with Nice Work if You Can Get It, S'Wonderful, and Being Alive just to name a few.

McCarter Theatre Center Announces Lineup For 17th Annual Artists' Retreat

McCarter is proud to welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and theater artists to Princeton for the Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The annual Retreat in June is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB, a platform and creative incubator devoted to ongoing theatrical development and artist cultivation. The 2018 Retreat will take place from June 6 - June 13.

ASCAP Award Winner Kari Kimmel Releases New Album 'Gold & Glitter' Today

Today Glow Music Group announces the sixth solo release from singer-songwriter Kari Kimmel. Gold & Glitter is a powerful pop album that embodies the singer/songwriter's unabashed emotion and unwavering do-it-yourself independence that has driven her career since day one. Kari recently shared 'High,' her second single, via Keyboard and kicked off the project with Blackbook. In an interview with Billboard Magazine, Kari told the story behind the making of her album. Another highlight of this release week, Kari was honored at the 33rd Annual ASCAP Screen Music Awards for her work on THE FOSTERS.

The Beach Boys Kick off 2018 NOW & THEN Tour Across the U.S. and U.K.

The Beach Boys, 'America's Band,' are set to bring their iconic Southern Californian sound worldwide with the launch of their 2018 'Now & Then' Tour. Kicking off May 25th in Springfield, IL, the highly-anticipated tour will feature the band's biggest hits and beloved fan favorites, such as 'Good Vibrations,' 'Fun, Fun, Fun,' 'Kokomo,' 'I Get Around,' and many more, with performances spanning across Canada, Ireland, and England. 

HIGH TEA LIVE June - December Program Announced

ARIA award-winning didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton, acclaimed jazz singer Hetty Kate and Melbourne indie songstress Rebecca Barnard (Rebecca's Empire) are among the eclectic all-star line-up of performers featured in Arts Centre Melbourne's new High Tea Live series. Previously known as Jazz High Tea, High Tea Live expands upon the jazz genre with performances featuring swing, rock, cabaret, opera and Broadway as well as special sessions for families. The beloved Arts Centre Melbourne tradition, features a different act on the first Sunday of every month from March until December.

Raphael Saadiq Adds Ali Shaheed Muhammad to Summer Tour

Raphael Saadiq recently announced his first headline tour in several years. Today, he announced that his longtime friend and Lucy Pearl bandmate Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest)--who recently announced new album TheMidnight Hour with Adrian Younge and featuring Saadiq, among other noteworthy musicians--will support him on several dates of the summer run. Flint, MI musician & activist Tunde Olaniran will also join the pair at Detroit's MOCAD. In addition to his headline dates, musician and producer Saadiq is set to perform at Chicago'sPitchfork Festival (read 'The Meaning of Soul Music According to Raphael Saadiq' via the 2017 Pitchfork here). The tour dates come as the Oscar-nominated Grammy-winner finishes work on his much-anticipated fifth solo album and first since 2011's Stone Rollin'.

Twilight 22's Self-Titled Debut Available on Vinyl June 22

Craft Recordings celebrates the roots of electronic dance music this summer with a nod to the foundational contributions of a legendary cornerstone of the genre: Twilight 22's self-titled LP, which contains the smash-hit and electro-staple, 'Electric Kingdom.' This release marks the first-ever official vinyl reissue of Twilight 22, which was cut from the original analog tapes by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters. The seminal LP will be available on vinyl for the first time since its original release on June 22 (6/22).

Make Music NY Announces Updated Schedule

Make Music New York, a one-of-a-kind festival occurring each June 21 and featuring more than 1,000 free outdoor concerts, music lessons and jam sessions in public spaces across the five boroughs, today announced its updated schedule of events. The daylong musical celebration on the summer solstice is the flagship event of Make Music Day, which is being held in 80 U.S. cities and has become a global phenomenon observed by hundreds of millions of people in 800 cities in 120 countries.
