Matarese will take over the Comix stage for three performances at 8 p.m. nightly from Thursday, May 16 to Saturday, May 18. His Friday night show will be an especially uproarious performance, as he welcomes fans to witness a "Nasty Show with Joe Matarese."
Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update' anchor, Seth Meyers, will bring his comedic chops to the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods for a special performance on Saturday, June 22 at 8 p.m.

This March, audiences at DSI Comedy Theater will once again have an opportunity to crown the funniest person in North Carolina as it hosts Carolina's Funniest Comic. Now in its 6th year, this competition runs throughout the month of March. Shows are every Friday at 7:30 pm starting March 8. There will be added shows Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 pm and Friday, March 8 at 9 pm. Tickets to each round cost $12 and all shows run at DSI Comedy Theater, 200 N. Last year, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival began a partnership with the Carolina Theatre in Durham and partnered with the theatre to present two shows during last year's festival. Both shows were wildly successful and this year should prove to be no exception. Two of the festival's headliners are slated to take center stage at the Carolina Theatre on February 8 and February 10.
