The New York Pops and Music Director Steven Reineke returned for their fourth season at Forest Hills Stadium-the historic sporting and entertainment venue located in the Queens, New York neighborhood of Forest Hills-for a one night only performance of The Who's 'TOMMY' on Sunday, June 17 at 8:00 p.m. Presented by Q104.3 and Madison House Presents, the concert featured Roger Daltrey, joined by a band of seasoned Who players, including guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, guitarist Frank Simes, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, and drummer Scott Devours.

Carnegie Hall today announced that a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), led by its Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, has been added to its 2018-2019 season line-up. The concert, scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, will be the National Symphony's first Carnegie Hall performance since Mr. Noseda began his tenure as the orchestra's music director in fall 2017.
Carnegie Hall Offers Two Summer Music Educators Workshop Sessions

From July 11-14 and July 25-28, Carnegie Hall will host two Summer Music Educators Workshop sessions, giving music teachers from across the country the opportunity to re-energize their teaching practice, learn from leaders in the field, and exchange best practices with peers. Over the course of four intensive days, participating educators will engage with expert guest faculty on a range of topics. The first session, "You Are What You Play," will explore how to open students' minds and hearts to the power of artful, rich, and engaging repertoire. The second session, "Dare to Create," will look at ways to use composition and improvisation to inspire students inside and outside the classroom.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) will present the Star Wars: Film Concert Series featuring screenings of the complete films A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Force Awakens with Oscar-winning composer John Williams's musical scores performed live to the films. The concerts will be led by conductor Sarah Hicks (A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back) and TSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke (Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens).
