The best of Broadway gathered at Carnegie Hall to join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 39th Birthday Gala, For the First Time In Forever: The Songs of Kristen and Bobby Lopez. View photos!

The Broadway Education Alliance Inc., has just announced that the Camp Broadway Kids Ensemble will mark its first live appearance with a 28- member cast at The New York Pops 39th annual Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall on April 25, 2022.

The National Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Steven Reineke, will perform lush orchestrations of classic Disney songs featuring celebrated Broadway stars in a weekend of performances on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, presented Get Happy: That Nelson Riddle Sound on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 8:00pm in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. 

Nelson Riddle, the legendary arranger/orchestrator/composer is largely responsible for what we think of as the sound of The Great American Songbook. His arrangements and orchestrations for artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole Dean Martin, Judy Garland, Johnny Mathis, Rosemary Clooney, and Doris Day, created for the Capitol label defined the sound of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. He is responsible for resuscitating Sinatra’s career and turning him into the legend he became. Riddle is the creator of the “Rat Pack” sound, composing scores for Robin and the Seven Hoods and Ocean’s 11 among dozens of other films. He won an Oscar for the score of 1974’s The Great Gatsby in addition to 3 Grammy awards, two of them for his album collaborations with Linda Ronstadt that revived his extraordinary career shortly before his death in 1985. It’s hard to overestimate his importance to American popular music.

Kristen Bell (Film and Television star; voice of Anna in Disney’s Frozen), Caissie Levy (original Elsa in Frozen on Broadway) and Betsy Wolfe (originated leading role in world premiere of the Lopezes’ musical Up Here) will join The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, for its 39th Birthday Gala.

 The San Diego Symphony announced today its 2022 Conrad Prebys Summer Season of concerts at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, the orchestra’s new, captivating waterfront venue that opened August 2021.

The New York Pops announces the appointment of Donnovan Andrews, founder of HumanWorks, and Anthony V. Thompson, Financial Advisor and Principal at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, to its Board of Directors, in addition to its appointment of current Board member John Gardner as Treasurer of the orchestra's Board. Gardner, currently Entrepreneur in Residence at Acrew Capital, has been on the Board since 2014.

One Night Only: An Evening with Norm Lewis highlights Norms illustrious career on stage, including his leading turns in Les Misrables, The Phantom of the Opera, Porgy and Bess, and Sweeney Todd.

This evening, Emmy, SAG, and Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis will premiere a new solo concert program with The New York Pops. In anticipation of his big gig, Norm stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan this morning for a performance of the song, 'Stars' from the classic musical Les Miserables.
