After their resoundingly successful inaugural production of the cult favorite Triassic Parq in 2015, CIRCLE THEATRE is ecstatic to announce the highly-anticipated remount of the show. The production will run previews starting Friday, July 14 and opens for press Wednesday, July 19, running through Sunday, August 13. The performances will be returning to the original venue, Heartland Studio, in Rogers Park, 7016 N. Glenwood Ave and will run Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00pm, with matinees both Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm and industry performances every Monday at 8:00pm. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased via www.circletheatrechicago.org.

As I sat shaking my head in disbelief of what I was seeing and hearing on the Blank Canvas Theatre stage, those around me were howling with uncontrollable laughter. What I was seeing was ridiculous, unbelievable, and basically poorly performed. I'm not sure what was making my audience-mates laugh so hard, but I heard one of the young ladies behind me confide that she had just wet her pants and then I got sprayed by a shower of beer that came forth from her companion's nose as he exploded in laughter.
CIRCLE THEATRE has announced a new artistic team as it prepares to launch into its first full season in over a year. Circle Theatre began in Oak Park, IL back in 1985 by Karen Skinner, Wayne Buidens and Joseph Bass, where it produced multiple world premieres and earned over 40 Joseph Jefferson Awards in its 28-year residency. After officially transitioning to the city proper in 2013 with the remount of its Jeff Award-winning When the Rain Stops Falling (director: John Gawlik), Circle Theatre produced two more musicals (Death Takes a Holiday and Edges) before taking a break from producing to re-group as an artistic ensemble.
