Atlanta Symphony Announces Events For 2013 Decorators' Show House

The Atlanta Symphony Associates is pleased to announce a series of signature events as part of the 43rd Annual Decorators' Show House & Gardens. In addition to touring the home, these events welcome all attendees to participate and indulge in tailored special presentations - including lectures, book signings, garden tours, wine tastings, and cooking demonstrations - that will take place at Tuffeau Estate in April and May.

Hands up--who's been fired? Ok-- a) if your hand did not got up, then you're missing out on some wonderful lessons and b} I don't believe you. Everyone at some point, somewhere, has been fired, even if you were five and it was from your best friend's lemonade stand (true story). I always find it amusing that people think this is always a bad thing. I went on to create my own peach punch stand, and was far more successful.

Guild Hall, the visual and performing arts center on eastern Long Island, recently honored the recipients of the 28th Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards: John Alexander for Visual Arts; Walter Isaacson for Literary Arts; Nathan Lane for Performing Arts and Mickey Straus, who received the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Marshall Brickman was the Master of Ceremonies with special guest presenters: Ken Auletta, Alec Baldwin, Jack O'Brien and Lorne Michaels. Amphibian Stage Productions today announced that Jaime Castañeda will direct its upcoming production of The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs by Mike Daisey, starring Steven Young. The New York-based director graduated from Fort Worth's Texas Christian University and has directed extensively in the DFW area, most recently The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety by Kristoffer Diaz at Dallas Theater Center, and he returns once again to helm this regional premiere.
