Actor Matthew Modine has joined the cast of Ralph Bakshi's first film in over 15 years. Best known as 'Pvt. Joker' in Stanley Kubrick's FULL METAL JACKET, Modine recently played 'Deputy Commissioner Peter Foley' in Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and can next be seen as John Sculley in jOBS, the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher (out April 19th).

According to Deadline.com, Aaron Sorkin has withdrawn as librettist of the upcoming Broadway production Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman. Sorkin's schedule, including his commitments involving the second season of HBO's 'The Newsroom' and adapting Walter Isaacson's book 'Steve Jobs' for Sony Pictures, would not allow him time to continue work on the musical.

Zack Zadek is hosting a debut solo concert at Joe's Pub on January 28th. The 9:30 PM show will feature songs from Zack's hit musical "6" (NYMF), an intimate telling of six New Yorkers who, by six degrees of separation, unexpectedly alter each other's lives, and a sneak preview of his current project "The Crazy Ones," detailing the biography of Steve Jobs and the formation of Apple, Inc. through the rock and acoustic revolutions of the seventies.

Red Touch Media hosted the exclusive jOBS film premiere after party on closing night of the Sundance Film Festival 2013 in Park City, UT on January 25. Cast members Ashton Kutcher, Josh Gad, Ahna O'Reilly and director Joshua Michael Stern all attended the event, which was held at pop-up club Nur Khan Presents for NK. DJ Cash spun and guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and photography by Norman Seeff, who shot the iconic 1984 image of Steve Jobs sitting on the floor with a Mac in his lap. The new musical comedy, NERDS, is trying to make its way to Broadway, and it's starting out right here in Raleigh. This is a great opportunity for the Triangle theater community, and the show is absolutely worth a trip downtown.
