The cast for "A Pretty Filthy Evening," to be held February 5 at 9 p.m., at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, will feature (in alphabetical order) Mia Barron ("The Venture Bros.," "The Coast of Utopia"), Chris Butler ("The Good Wife," "Criminal Minds"), Kathryn Hahn ("Hung," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"), Rashida Jones ("Parks and Recreation," "The Social Network"), Paul Provenza ("Northern Exposure," "The West Wing"), Emily Swallow ("Southland," "The Lucky Ones"), Sam Trammell ("True Blood," "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem"), Steven Weber ("Wings," "Brothers & Sisters"), Rutina Wesley ("True Blood," "How She Move") and Bess Wohl (who is writing the book for the upcoming musical "Pretty Filthy").

'A Pretty Filthy Evening,' a special one-night-only cabaret created by The Civilians, and a reading of the new play 'The Opponent' by Brett Neveu, will be presented in February 2011 as part of DouglasPlus programming at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.

The award-winning investigative theater company The Civilians will present a series of 'Talk Backs' during the world-premiere run of the company's newest show, IN THE FOOTPRINT: The Battle Over Atlantic Yards, performing now through December 11 at the Irondale Center, 85 S. The Public Theater (Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director; Andrew D. Hamingson, Executive Director) announced the line-up today for the second Public Forum event, "Who Lost America? How Our Politics and Culture Have Changed in the 10 Years Since Bush v. Gore", on Monday, November 15 at 8 p.m.

BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, which opened on Broadway on October 13, uses the story of America's controversial seventh president-the man who invented the Democratic Party, doubled the size of our nation and signed the Indian Removal Acts that started the Trail of Tears - to investigate the attraction and terrors of American populism, using a raucous blend of outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality and infectious emo rock. A co-production with Center Theatre Group and in association with Les Freres Corbusier, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON is written and directed by Alex Timbers and features music and lyrics by Michael Friedman. The Civilians, the New York-based theatre company known for projects investigating real-life topics - including the upcoming IN THE FOOTPRINT about the controversy surrounding the development of the Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn - has been awarded a three-year grant in the amount of $700,000 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for THE GREAT IMMENSITY, a new production about climate change, it has been announced by Steve Cosson, founding Artistic Director of The Civilians.
