Yesterday, June 3, The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were held at The Town Hall, celebrating this year's big winners. The festivities were presided over by star of stage and screen Brooke Shields and Broadway favorite - and previous Drama Desk winner - Brian d'Arcy James. On her nights off from THE LYONS on Broadway, Linda Lavin - the Tony-nominated star of Nicky Silver's comedy - will perform two concerts at the Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22 St.) in Manhattan on Sunday, May 6 and Monday, May 7, both at 9:30 p.m.

On Saturday, March 17 took to the stage with the 60-piece Wilmington Symphony Orchestra at the Kenan Auditorium in Wilmington, NC. Joining her was her band including Bucky Pizzarelli (guitar), John Brown (bass), Steve Bakunis (drums), and musical director Billy Stritch and singer Jim Caruso.

Stars of both stage and screen joined the celebration when the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre honored Tony Award-winner Linda Lavin at the Off-Broadway company's annual Gala on Monday, March 12 at the Hudson Theater in Manhattan. Ms. Lavin made her Vineyard Theatre debut earlier this season in the critically acclaimed production of Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS and will again star in THE LYONS when the play moves to Broadway next month starting April 5 at the Cort Theatre.

On Monday, December 5, Tony and Golden Globe Award-winning actress and singer Linda Lavin celebrated the release of her new CD, 'Possibilities' (Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records) by gathering a few good friends to join her in concert on the Birdland stage. Last night, Broadway divas Chita Rivera, Charlotte d'Amboise, Linda Lavin, composer John Bucchino, the legendary Marilyn Maye, sax man Dave Koz, internet sensation Colleen Ballinger/Miranda Sings and West End leading man/Swedish pop star Peter Jöback were all seen cavorting, cheering and/or entertaining each other at Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland.

There was a packed house at the Embassy of Italy on Monday night, April 11 as close to 400 Signature Theatre enthusiasts paid $650 and upwards per person for the theatre's annual Gala. And when the evening was over, no one was disappointed.

Jim Caruso presented Broadway and television star Linda Lavin in 'Possibilities,' a concert celebrating her new CD of the same name. The event took place on Monday, February 21 at 7pm, as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series, celebrating performers and composers from the Great White Way. Linda Lavin is currently starring in Other Desert Cities at Lincoln Center. Accompanying Linda will be Billy Stritch on piano, Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, John Brown on bass, Aaron Weinstein on violin and Steve Bakunas on drums.
