Celebrating its 7th Anniversary, the LAKE TAHOE DANCE FESTIVAL, founderartistic director Christin Hanna, will present a program of works by Agnes De Mille (a duet from her final work The Other performed by Stephen Hanna and Abi Stafford of New York City Ballet), and ballets by Constantine Baecher, Roya Carreras, Katherine Duke, Traci Finch, and Jacopo Godani.   Performances will take place set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Tahoe City, California and Truckee, California.

Broadway veterans Bret Shuford and Stephen Hanna, known as the Broadway Husbands, unveil their new children's training program Broadway Performing Arts Academy, offering two days of free classes as a summer preview on July 11th and August 2nd.

The 2019 Broadway At Music Circus season continues with a brand new production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's first collaboration, the groundbreaking masterpiece Oklahoma!  The Pulitzer Prize winning musical, which The New York Times said "changed the course of the Broadway musical," runs Tuesday, June 25 through Sunday, June 30 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

The much-anticipated run of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! at Broadway at Music Circus is finally here and brings with it some serious star power. Ryan Vasquez is taking a short break from starring in Hamilton on Broadway to join us in Sacramento as Curly. He is the only person to have played five of the principal roles in Hamilton (Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, Marquis de LafayetteThomas Jefferson, and Hercules MulliganJames Madison). Casting has been confirmed for the 69th Broadway At Music Circus season, which begins June 11 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The season includes four Broadway At Music Circus premieres, Shrek the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wiz, and In the Heights.

Next up at New York City Center is I Married an Angel, the second Encores! production of the City Center 75th Anniversary Season. In addition to Sara Mearns as the Angel of the title, the production will feature Phillip Attmore (Peter Mueller), Max Baker (General Lucash), Mark Evans (Count Willy Palaffi), Ann Harada (Duchess of Holstein-Kuloff), Nikki M. James (Countess Peggy Palaffi), Hayley Podschun (Anna Murphy), and Tom Robbins (Harry Mischka Szigetti).

The York Theatre Company honored Five-time Tony Award-winning musical theatre director/choreographer Susan Stroman with the 2018 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre and Betty Cooper Wallerstein with the York Theatre Company Founders' Award at the 27th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala last week at The Edison Ballroom.
