'The Last Cyclist,' a uniquely immersive new film directed by Edward Einhorn that captures a stage performance of a rediscovered dark comedy written and performed once in the Nazi concentration camp Terezin in 1944, receives its broadcast premiere on THIRTEEN's Theater Close-Up on Tuesday August 16 at 9:30pm.

The Last Cyclist, originally written and rehearsed in the Terezín Ghetto during the Holocaust and presented at La MaMa in 2017, is an official selection of the Chain Festival in New York and the Melech Festival in Israel.  The comic allegory by Karel Švenk, reconstructed and reimagined by Naomi Patz, pits innocent bicycle riders (Jews) against escaped lunatics (Nazis) who seek to destroy them.  The New York productions of the play as well as the film were directed by Edward Einhorn.

On December 15, Chorus pro Musica, under the direction of Jamie Kirsch, will shift the holiday spirit along Boston's Commonwealth Avenue into high gear with the presentation of their annual holiday classic, Candlelight Christmas at Old South.

Chorus pro Musica, directed by Jamie Kirsch, will present a semi-staged concert version of George and Ira Gershwin's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical "Of Thee I Sing" on May 13 at 8 p.m. at Robbins Memorial Town Hall Auditorium in Arlington, Massachusetts.

The Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra performed YEETHOVEN,  a mashup of Kanye West and Beethoven.  Check out their performance below!

The Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) Debut Orchestra, under the direction of Yuga Cohler, presents YEETHOVEN, the premiere concert of an innovative programming concept entitled The Great Music Series. Mr. Cohler created the Series in order to "demonstrate the ways in which modern popular music can be fundamentally similar to classical music by highlighting the musical and cultural elements characteristic of all great music." For this, its first installment, the Series will consider the music of Kanye West and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Chorus pro Musica (CpM), under the direction of Jamie Kirsch, commences its 2015-16 season at 8 p.m. on November 7 at First Church Cambridge with a program, With Strings Attached, that features choral works highlighting the special connection between stringed instruments and the human voice.

The 2014 Midtown International Theater Festival culminates its 15th anniversary celebration with the MITF Awards recognizing the best of this summer's MITF and the February 2014 Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival.

'Wasted Tunes: The Songs of Mark Sonnenblick', a World Premiere Concert, will be performed live at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues), tonight, September 20th at 8pm. $10 cover plus a two beverage minimum. Cash only.

'Wasted Tunes' is an original blast of theatrical rock'n'roll by composer/lyricist Mark Sonnenblick. Audiences can expect an evening of intoxicated anthems, hammered hymns, stoned showtunes, and blitzed ballads, none of which are from any comprehensible piece of theater and most of which will be performed in public for the first time. Brennan Caldwell (NBC's "The Sing-Off"), Kasie Gasparini (Mama Mia Las Vegas), Will Roland (The Black Suits), Emily Wexler, and Sonnenblick himself will star in the revue, which will be directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming, Max Friedman.

The 15th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) presents Eddie and the Palaceades, a new rock and roll musical with book and lyrics by Roy O'Neil and music by Stephen Feigenbaum.

Year 2014 marks Year 15 for the MITF and John Chatterton is celebrating in a big way. Prolific producer John Chatterton has been a fixture of the Manhattan theatre scene for two decades. For much of that time, his brainchild, The Midtown International Theatre Festival, has been celebrating the diversity of theatre becoming a leader in presenting powerful works from around the world - and one of the best reasons to come to New York in the summer. The once bachelor MITF now has a full family of arts programs: The Short Play Lab, which will be part of this year's festivities; Cabaret MITF - featuring Broadway and cabaret performers - also be part of this summer's festivities; and the Commercial Division spotlighting works whose production values and subject matter are the stuff for Off- [and on] Broadway; and, of course, the founding Midtown International Theatre Festival. The Midwinter Madness Short Play Festival and the MITF Children's Theatre Festival shared in the fun earlier this year.

The ASCAP Foundation just honored Tony Award-winning lyricist and director of Annie Martin Charnin with the first-ever ASCAP Foundation George M. Cohan Award at their 18th annual Awards Ceremony last night, December 11th. The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Paul Williams, was held at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
