The 73rd Annual Tony Award Nominations will be announced tomorrow, April 30, from the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The Tony Awards Administration Committee has been meeting all year to discuss the eligibility of the 2018-19 Broadway productions all leading up to Tuesdays big announcement... the Tony nominations.

This season, Hillary Clinton is hitting the Broadway stage for the first time ever, played by none other than the great Laurie Metcalf, in Douglas Hnath's new play, Hillary and Clinton.

The onslaught of jukebox musicals doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon, which, in turn, means that there are an awful lot of cast albums that also double as very well-sung cover albums. That's definitely the case with the original cast recording of The Cher Show, which functions okay as a cast album but mostly rides on its cast's considerable talent and the sheer joy of Cher's catalog.

Previous Lucille Lortel Award winner and multiple nominee, Mike Birbiglia, has been announced as host of the 2019 Lucille Lortel Awards, set to take place Sunday, May 5, at the NYU Skirball Center.

In the past few weeks, we've watched the nominations roll in. Today the final crop of nominees have been revealed, all leading to next week's ultimate announcement- the 2019 Tony nominations.

Broadway award-winning star and concert star Christine Andreas will release limited signed vinyl of her newest album Christine Andreas Piaf-No Regrets on PS Classics available online only starting on April 23, 2019.  Christine has been touring the U.S. and abroad with her much-acclaimed one-woman show Piaf, No Regrets. 

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of April 15-19 in adults 18-49 by a +20% margin over “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The beat goes on for Micaela Diamond, making her Broadway debut as Babe, the youngest Cher in The Cher Show. At just 19 years old, she has already taken the theatre scene by storm, opening a show on Broadway and being on a newly released cast recording. Diamond invited Inside Edition into her life, showing them what a regular day is like for her.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, welcomes 'Tootsie' star Julie Halston along with 'Torch Song' sensation Michael Urie to announce the nominees for the 2018-19 season today, April 23rd. Bellman's Bar in The Carlyle Hotel is a time capsule of New York City celebrity music nightlife. Sunday's the music and entertainment of BIlly Stritch and Jim Caruso superbly add to the history of the legendary room. Last night Jim was probably being mobbed at the Easter Parade being mistaken for Fred Astaire so BIlly had award winning Jazz vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli join him for an evening of great music.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The nominations were announced this morning by the current stars of Waitress, Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan, at the official announcement event at Sardi's Restaurant, which was streamed live online here at BroadwayWorld.
