RSC's Chuk Iwuji Joins Cast of Paul Sorvino's KING LEAR at Shrunken Shakespeare Gala, 4/21

Shrunken Shakespeare Company (SSC), in association with Joe Paradise, announced today that Nigerian-born Royal Shakespeare Company associate artist Chukwudi Iwuji (The Public/RSC: Anthony and Cleopatra; London Old Vic/BAM: Richard III with Kevin Spacey) has joined the cast of Paul Sorvino's world premiere adaption of Lear as part of their 2014 Fundraiser Gala, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and TV veterans. The Gala will be held on Monday, April 21st at 7:30pm, at TBG Theatre located at 312 W 36th Street, 3rd Floor in NYC.

Bedlam's HAMLET to be Live-Streamed in New York City Schools Tomorrow

The Wednesday, February 26 2PM performance of Bedlam's Hamlet by William Shakespeare will be live streamed to participating New York City schools in association with Virtual Arts TV. This multi-camera, real time live stream brings this critically acclaimed production directly into classrooms, and enables students and teachers to interact via chat rooms with the cast and crew during the show. Tom O'Keefe, Andrus Nichols, Eric Tucker, and Stephen Wolfert Join Cast of Bedlam's HAMLET and SAINT JOAN, Beg. Tonight

The critically acclaimed Bedlam productions of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, directed by Eric Tucker, are currently playing at off-Broadway's Lynn Redgrave Theater (45 Bleecker Street, NYC) through March 9, 2014. Beginning February 18, 2014 the cast will feature Tom O'Keefe, Andrus Nichols, Eric Tucker and Stephan Wolfert. Original company member Edmund Lewis will play his final performance February 16, 2014.

Dax Foundation Establishes PACT, Awards Grants To 4 LA Based Theater Groups

The Dax Foundation - a Los Angeles-based private, non-profit philanthropic foundation dedicated to helping people and animals around the world - announced today that it is significantly increasing its support for the arts by establishing its new Performing Arts Charitable Trust (PACT) and has awarded its first grants to four outstanding Los Angeles-based theater groups: Shakespeare Santa Monica, Veterans Center for the Performing Arts, Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble and Independent Shakespeare Company.
