La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced its 40th Anniversary season of shows - 40 YEARS OF PHENOMENAL!

'People will say we're in love' with this wild western cast of Rodgers and Hammerstein's beloved Oklahoma! Having directed last summer's hit Bye Bye Birdie Jenn Thompson returns to The Goodspeed to take on the show that changed American musicals forever. For the first time at Goodspeed, this country classic will welcome city slickers, cowboys and everyone in between! So kick up your boots and join us for this lively and legendary musical which runs July 14-September 23 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn [Official Press Opening will be August 2, 2017].

LA's live music venue Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz will host a Mother's Day edition of their ongoing line-up show An Evening of Classic Broadway.

New Jersey will welcome arts service organizations from across the U.S. and Canada to the 35th annual conference of the Association of Performing Arts Service Organizations ("APASO") from May 17th to 19th. The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park is the host hotel, and events will be held at various locations in Asbury Park, at Two River Theater and the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, at McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, and at Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton.

Center Theatre Group is now accepting submissions for the 2018 Richard E. Sherwood Award. The deadline to submit an application is June 5, 2017, at 11:59 p.m.

Native Voices at the Autry, America's leading Native American theatre company, presents its 23rd Annual Festival of New Plays at the Autry Museum of the American West and La Jolla Playhouse. The festival features staged readings of new and in-progress plays by Native writers followed by talkbacks in which each audience member becomes an important part of the collaborative process. These new works explore questions of solidarity and community, spirituality and culture, environment and economic success, and the often contentious relationships that emerge. 

Unbound Productions Executive Director Jonathan Josephson, Artistic Director Paul Millet, and Producing Artistic Director Jeff G. Rack have announced the details of the company's first fully-realized evening-length play: Holmes, Sherlock and The Consulting Detective, which will run for 19 performances between June 2 and July 1, 2017 in and around the historic Santa Anita Train Depot at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden (159 S. Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007).

Award-winning Son of Semele Ensemble announces its next production, Archipelago by Caridad Svich, to be presented at the Son of Semele Theater, 3301 Beverly Boulevard, from May 27 to June 18, 2017.

Following a sold out run last fall in Portland with CoHo Season 21, this hit co-production of The Gun Show by E.M. Lewis starring Vin Shambry will travel to the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival for 3 weeks this summer.

Voter applications for the 2017-2018 Ovation Awards season are now available on OvationAwards.com, it was announced today by LA STAGE Alliance. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, May 19 at noon.

Remission, a new musical about vulnerability and hope, announces presentations open to industry professionals on March 31st. The presentations will be directed by Portia Krieger, with books/music/lyrics by Rebekah M. Allen, and casting by Tara Rubin Casting.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce the second show in our 19th Anniversary Season… Middletown. Written by Will Eno and directed by Trevor Biship, Middletown will preview from April 21 through April 28; regular performances will begin April 29 and continue through May 21 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the intimate Fyda-Mar Stage.

In May, Sordid Lives by Del Shores makes its San Francisco debut as New Conservatory Theatre Center presents the play that spawned the huge cult comedy phenomenon. Three generations of a dysfunctional small-town Texas family gather after their elderly matriarch dies during a tryst in a seedy motel room with her much younger, much married neighbor. Fireworks are set off and bizarre truths exposed as the town prepares for what could be an embarrassing funeral.

Artists Repertory Theatre presents the Northwest Premiere of FEATHERS AND TEETH by Charise Castro Smith, directed by Artistic Director Damaso Rodriguez. Previews performances begin March 7, the play opens March 11 and runs through April 2 on the Morrison Stage.
