PROGRAM 1 (July 13-16)

The Animal Monologues | Amy Raasch
Forest confessionals, filmic fables and originals songs explore the animalist behavior of humans in love in an urban jungle where the wild and the (allegedly) civilized live side by side.

Tuesday Confidential: a Memnoir | Michelle Philippe
Detective Tuesday helps people find missing time. She might find you an extra hour. Or she may stop time completely, allowing you to live in the present.

Shamamonica | Jeremy Kehoe (performed by Edward Alvarado)
His soul torn from his chest by Satan's confederate (a Santa Monica bureaucrat) our narrator must cross the pit of hell (Santa Monica) with no ride and Charles Bukowski's "Hot Water Music" as his lone companion.

PROGRAM 2 (July 20-23)

Angels Are Intersex | Sarah G
What is it to be born both male and female; to not conform to society's rules of what is "normal"? If Angels are intersex and are messengers from God, what is God trying to tell us about sex & sexuality?

The City Underneath | Evan Lorenzetti
Wander the alleyways of time and history as your homeless tour guide excavates the stories surrounding Downtown's infamous Cecil Hotel, now an anchor of gentrification as Stay on Main.

American Brutus | Tim Venable
Take a dive into the heart and soul of our country's most notorious actor/assassin, John Wilkes Booth, through his letters, his diaries and the Shakespearean monologues he brought to life.

PROGRAM 3 (July 27-30)

BROWNER QUEERER LOUDER PROUDER | Monica Palacios
Witness a queer brown woman's survival when America goes from somewhat normal to completely insane using her wit, words, wisdom - and mighty maracas.

Crime and Punishment: The Musical! | Dan Berkowitz
A bound-for-Broadway librettist - in his mind, at least - invites you to a sneak preview of latest work: an adaptation of the Dostoyevsky classic. (Oh, and there's a chance he miiiight need some medical help.)

The Duat | Roger Q. Mason (performed by Darien Battle)
Cornelius, an FBI informant during the Black Power Movement, faces a spiritual reckoning in the Egyptian afterlife. This fusion of text and movement offers an alternative take on notions of black history, masculinity, and memory.

To that end, we make an earnest commitment to the artistic sustainability of the greater community.
