Inspired by the blockbuster 1960 Roger Corman film, the monster musical hit LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS comes to Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, tonight, July 12 through August 19. One of the longest-running musicals Off-Broadway, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS features a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's 'The Little Mermaid', 'Beauty and The Beast' and 'Aladdin'). Theatre at the Center's production, boasting glorious refurbishments of the plants from the original New York production, will be directed and choreographed by Stacey Flaster.

Porchlight Music Theatre launches its 18th season with the Chicago premiere of A Class Act, September 1 - October 7, at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. A Class Act's music and lyrics are by Edward Kleban and the book is by Linda Kline and Lonny Price.

The Paramount Theater is presenting the nostalgic jukebox revue Route 66 for a nine-week run, four shows a week, in the intimate, 216-seat Copley Theater. Tickets are on sale now for Paramount's production of Roger Bean's Route 66, a jukebox comedy about a gang of rowdy Chicago service station attendants who take an imaginary Chicago to L.A. road trip singing tunes by Willie Nelson, Woody Guthrie, Roger Miller and The Beach Boys, just to name a few. Rapunzel, the enchanting story of the girl with the longest hair in the world, will be Winnetka Theatre's popular "Especially for Kids" production this season. The funny, witty one-­hour musical for children ages 3-­10 will be presented on Saturdays and Sundays from January 21-­Feb 5th, 2012 at the Winnetka Community House, with performances 11 am and 2pm each day.
