Following a celebrated decade as Artistic Director at Royal & Derngate, James Dacre has announced the launch of a new production company – LIVING PRODUCTIONS – which will champion exceptional writers, composers, actors and creatives by developing and producing their work.

BBC Arts has announced a range of new commissions for the Autumn in Sunday Night Performances on BBC Four. Sunday Night Performances showcase some of the best of the UK’s dance, theatre, music and spoken word in specially made films for television every week of the year.

James Dacre, the Artistic Director at Royal & Derngate Northampton, has announced the theatre’s new Made in Northampton season, featuring eighteen productions. The programme encompasses plays, musicals, a feature film, On Demand theatre, podcasts and a new interactive digital work.

Scottish Dance Theatre has unveiled the details of its spring '22 season, which will feature three different works (including a World Premiere) presented in its home theatre at Dundee Rep and across Scotland.

Today, Sundance Institute announced Tabitha Jackson as the new Director of the Sundance Film Festival. Jackson was chosen from a worldwide search and follows outgoing Director, John Cooper, who served in the role for 11 years and will assume a newly-created Emeritus Director role. An award-winning filmmaker, she has served as Director of the Institute's Documentary Film Program for the last six years. Jackson will oversee the Festival's overall vision and strategy, while leading a senior team in close collaboration with Director of Programming, Kim Yutani. In his new role, Cooper will oversee special projects including preparations for the Institute's 40th anniversary in 2021.

Big Hit Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing announced today that tickets are now on sale for BRING THE SOUL: THE MOVIE, the latest film from global superstars BTS which finds the band at the end of their LOVE YOURSELF tour in Europe. The film will be in theaters for a limited time beginning August 7 with the majority of screenings occurring through August 11.  Additional screening dates available in select locations.

Kino Lorber announced today that David Ninh is joining the company as Director of Press and Publicity, beginning at Kino Lorber on April, 23, 2018. He will report to the company's Senior VP Theatrical, Non-theatrical Distribution & Acquisitions Wendy Lidell and to Company CEO Richard Lorber for corporate communications.

GRACE JONES: BLOODLIGHT AND BAMI Opens 4/13 In NYC & 4/20 In LA

The Sarasota Film Festival (SFF) today announced its full line-up, including its Centerpiece, Spotlight, Narrative Feature Competition, Independent Visions Competition, Documentary Feature Competition, Narrative, Documentary, and Short Films. The Festival also announced its five SFF Focus Panels – Sports in Cinema, Environment, Science, and Sustainability, Women's Comedic Voices, Redefining Manhood, and Musings on Musicians.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced its lineup of new releases for the 2018 spring season, featuring Arnaud Desplechin's Ismael's Ghosts, Lucrecia Martel's Zama, Claire Denis's Let the Sunshine In, and an exclusive run of Hong Sang-soo's The Day After, all NYFF55 selections; plus Sophie Fiennes's intimate documentary Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami and Carla Simón's Summer 1993, winner of the Best First Feature Award at the 2017 Berlin International Film Festival. Grace Jones: Bloodlight And Bami, director and editor Sophie Fiennes' critically acclaimed documentary exploring the public and private worlds of the legendary artist, is set for theatrical release nationwide this spring, following its highly regarded debut at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. Kino Lorber is distributing the film in the United States and Canada.

The Toronto International Film Festival® today revealed the hundreds of special guests and talent that will attend the Festival this September.

The Toronto International Film Festival's® 2017 documentary programme presents a distinct collection of works from award-winning directors with an increased number of World Premieres and potential awards contenders.

Russian drama Leviathan wins big at the LFF festival awards, netting the prize for best film. The Tribe takes First Feature award, while Silvered Water is named best documentary.

The Firm will present its final concert for the year on Monday November 4, 8pm, Elder Hall with a performance of Franz Schubert's last piano sonata D.960 together with works by Philip Glass and Adelaide composers Quentin Grant and Raymond Chapman Smith.
