Sundance Institute today announced Fellows and Advisors for the five-day 2019 Creative Producing Labs, as well as the three-day Creative Producing Summit which immediately follows; both take place at Utah's Sundance Mountain Resort. The Labs begins July 29, and the Summit August 2. These are the flagship convenings for the Institute's Creative Producing Program, which champions and develops current and rising generations of producers across fiction and nonfiction film.

For the first time ever, Sony Pictures' classic film, Ghostbusters, is coming to “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort – bringing the most memorable scenes, characters and supernatural spirits from one of pop culture's most iconic films to life in immersive mazes based off the 1984 classic at the nation's premier Halloween events, starting this September.

The Goldbergs are back and it's gonna be an epic year for everyone's favorite '80s family. Meddling mama Beverly is thrilled all her schmoos are back under the same roof. It gives her one last shot at smothering like the old days while delightfully grumpy dad Murray weighs the costly snap-decisions of his moron kids. Temperamental middle child and groom-to-be Barry is psyched to top off his legendary year by marrying the love of his life, Lainey Lewis, who's back in town and amping up to join one of the zaniest families on the block. Meanwhile, oldest sister Erica dropped out of college to pursue her lifelong dream of rock stardom. The only catch is now she has to chase that dream under the same roof she grew up in and so recently escaped. One person thrilled Erica's back is her lovable, dopey, doting boyfriend, Geoff Schwartz. This year, Adam finds himself settling into his geeky identity in high school, while navigating life in the midst of all the chaos at home. Naturally, all the family adventures will be captured on Adam's VHS camera.

“S.W.A.T.” stars Shemar Moore as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, a S.W.A.T. sergeant who leads an elite tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Tasked with taking on some of L.A.'s toughest criminals, Hondo and his team of dedicated men and women bravely risk their lives to protect the community. Own the second season on DVD August 20th.   

Following the startling revelation that Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) isn't who he says he is, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is torn between the relationship she's developed with the man assumed to be her father and her desire to get to the bottom of years of secrets and lies. Meanwhile, Red leads Liz and the FBI to the most strange and dangerous criminals yet, growing his empire and eliminating rivals in the process. Zachary Levi (Shazam!, Thor), the 'Charmed' duo of Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, Samm Levine ('Freaks and Geeks,' 'Undeclared'), Jason Faunt (Power Rangers Time Force), Lou Ferrigno ('The Incredible Hulk,' 'The King of Queens'), Thomas Ian Nicholas (Rookie of the Year, American Pie), and pro wrestling legend Devon Dudley are among the early wave of celebrities scheduled to attend the third annual Wizard World Pittsburgh, July 26-28 at the David L. The show originally aired from January 12, 1971 to April 8, 1979 and won 22 Emmy Awards out of 56 total nominations.

As fans get ready for a new chapter of the Ghostbusters universe, attendees of the first-ever Ghostbusters Fan Fest, presented by Wizard World, will hear from Jason Reitman, the director and co-writer (with Gil Kenan) of Sony Pictures' upcoming 2020 Ghostbusters film, on the famed Sony Pictures Studio Lot this June 7th and 8th in Culver City, California. With Ghostbusters (1984) stars Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) and director and producer Ivan Reitman already slated to attend the event with several other stars from across the franchise and a bevy of themed activities, it's the ultimate, once-in-a-lifetime celebration of everything Ghostbusters.

Casting is set for Antaeus Theatre Company's production of "Native Son," which Center Theatre Group is remounting at the Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of the third annual Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre. Written by Nambi E. Kelley, based on the novel by Richard Wright and directed by Andi Chapman, "Native Son" will begin previews April 18, open April 20 and continue through April 28, 2019.

YouTube today dropped the highly-anticipated official trailer for SEASON 2 of the critically-acclaimed YouTube Original series COBRA KAI, premiering on YouTube Premium April 24, 2019.

Beginning Monday, April 1, getTV will begin airing two back-to-back episodes of the hour-long action-drama The Unit, created by David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Verdict).

Easterseals Southern California announced new additions to its lineup of mentors for the annual Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, the entertainment industry's premiere disability inclusion film competition. Academy Award-winning writer, director and producer Phil Lord (“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Lego Movie,” “21 Jump Street”) and producer and President of SK Global John Penotti (“Crazy Rich Asians”) will provide mentorship to the film competition's winners for Best Director and Best Film, respectively.

YouTube today debuted the highly anticipated teaser trailer for SEASON 2 of the critically-acclaimed YouTube Original series COBRA KAI, premiering on YouTube Premium April 24, 2019.

Charter Communications' premium content initiative, Spectrum Originals, has picked up the limited series “Mad About You.” The Sony Pictures Television- produced series will include original cast, as Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt will reprise their roles as Paul and Jamie Buchman.  Peter Tolan is tapped to be the showrunner, and Helen Hunt will direct the first episode.  Danny Jacobson, who co-created the show with Reiser will serve as an executive consultant.  The series is scheduled to launch in late 2019.

The final chapter in the critically acclaimed and award-winning political drama HOUSE OF CARDS: SEASON SIX debuts on Blu-ray and DVD March 5 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Following the death of President Frank Underwood, Vice President Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) has ascended to the position of Commander in Chief of the United States, working to rally her allies and outwit those who oppose her. The intrigue and political maneuverings inside the White House continue as the first female president seeks to solidify her legacy.
