Resounding has completed casting for the upcoming live outdoor performance and simulcast of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Leading the cast is Sesame Street legend, author, and Emmy-winning writer Sonia Manzano as Prospera. A new home in the city holds big adventures, laughs and love around every corner in Nickelodeon's new original animated series The Casagrandes, premiering Monday, Oct. 14, at 1:30 p.m. (ET/PT). A spinoff of Nick's animated hit The Loud House, The Casagrandes tells the story of 11-year-old Ronnie Anne who moves to the city with her mom and older brother to live with their big, loving family, the Casagrandes. Following its premiere, the series moves to its regular timeslot on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) beginning Saturday, Oct. 19, on Nickelodeon.

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 13th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 5-15, 2019, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2019 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. Each event includes screenings followed by star-studded discussions with the series cast and creatives.

Eugenio Derbez (Overboard), Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken) and Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) have joined the cast of Nickelodeon's upcoming original animated series The Casagrandes, which tells the story of the Casagrandes, a big, loving and multi-generational family living together in the city. A companion to the Emmy Award-winning, The Loud House, the new 2D-animated series highlights the culture, humor, and love of growing up in a multi-generational Mexican-American family. The series is set to debut October 2019 on Nickelodeon.

Mayor Bill de Blasio and Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) Commissioner Julie Menin today announced the revitalization of the Latin Media and Entertainment Commission (LMEC) for New York City. Comprised of 18 leaders from the vibrant Latinx creative community here in New York, the commission will leverage partnerships with the city's entertainment, government, and business entities. The mission of the LMEC is to cultivate the next generation of New York City-based Latinx media and entertainment professionals; to promote enhanced Spanish language content on mainstream and emerging media platforms; to attract and retain major Latinx media events in New York City; and to expand the audience for premier Latinx cultural content in New York City.
