The Micro-Musical Theatre Show is pleased and proud to present its inaugural season of mico-musicals, featuring Drew Larimore & J. Oconer Navarro's dark musical comedy, THE NEW PEGGY set to premiere August 1st.

After selling out their first four performances, Trans Voices Cabaret returns to The Duplex with an even bigger cast of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming performers on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at 9:30pm, with direction by Donnie Cianciotto and musical direction by Anessa Marie.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced final casting for A Doll's House, Part 2, written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters, which begins previews on Thursday, September 6 and runs through Sunday, October 21. Individual tickets begin at $30 ($15 if you're under 35) and can be purchased online at berkeleyrep.org or by phone at 510 647-2949 beginning August 12, 2018. Subscription tickets are available now. Press night of this first show of Berkeley Rep's 50th anniversary season will be on Thursday, September 13.

Franklin Stage Company presents the final art show of their 22nd season, Marjorie Bradley Kellogg: Drawings and Maquettes, generously supported by the Erna McReynolds & Tom Morgan Artists-in-Collaboration Fund.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces Writer-Director Communications Lab on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10am-6pm at Studios 353, 353 W. 48th Street, Studio B (basement). Registration is $75 for TRU members ($85 for non-members), $30 for an additional collaborator (writer), and registration for TRU Member observers is $30 ($40 for non-members). Writers must be accepted before purchasing a spot.

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its doors for its annual Open House on Sunday, August 5, for an all-day extravaganza full of live performances and arts events across six different stages. Free and open to the public, this special summer event runs from noon until 8:30pm, with numerous performances throughout the Signature complex starting every fifteen minutes, as well as a one-day-only discounted ticket sale at the Box Office for select performances of mainstage shows in Signature's 2018/19 season. Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who scored a hit last season with the World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, will present the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives. Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production will star Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role. Previews begin September 23 at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, October 4.

Boundless Theatre Company (Maria-Cristina Fuste, Executive Artistic Director) announces full casting for its revival of The Conduct of Life by acclaimed Cuban-American playwright, Maria Irene Fornes. Directed by Elena Araoz, the production will run from September 7 through September 30 at Teatro Circulo, located at 64 East 4th Street. The opening is set for Saturday, September 15. 

12 Peers Theater continues their 2018 Main Stage Season with Stupid f**king Bird by Aaron Posner. The Pittsburgh Premiere is directed by Vince Ventura and features Chris Cattell, Sarah Chelli, Sara Ashley Fisher, Matt Henderson, Stefan Lingenfelter, David Maslow, and Maura Underwood. Stupid f**king Bird remixes the classic Chekhov play The Seagull while examining the fairness of life, love, our culture, and our institutions. Stupid f**king Bird - Sort of Adapted From The Seagull by Anton Chekhov runs July 26 - August 12, 2018, at the Richard E. Rauh Studio Theatre in The Cathedral of Learning.

REBEL AND MISFITS PRODUCTIONS is thrilled to announce their upcoming production of "The Realistic Joneses" by award-winning Will Eno, presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a grumpy ride! The Ogunquit Playhouse is proud to produce the U.S. premiere of the new musical-comedy, Grumpy Old Men the Musical on stage from August 8 to September 1 - just in time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the hit film that starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret. This hilarious new show was penned by Dan Remmes, with music by Neil Berg and lyrics by Nick Meglin. Director for the Ogunquit production of Grumpy Old Men the Musical is Matt Lenz.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.
