No concept is ever simple, ladies and gentlemen, but if you are lucky the mercy will be in whether the concept is short and sweet, or exhaustive and painful. If you are an audience member of 80 Minutes No Interval, you are in luck, and you're the only one I might add. A might-be-absurdist-but-don't-let-that-stop-you take on the milieu of millennial struggles, 80 Minutes is writer-director Travis Cotton's return to working with Old Fitz Theatre, and he proves again to be a creative capable of marvellous humour and intrigue.

Thread Entertainment in association with Red Line Productions is pleased to present the World Premiere of Travis Cotton's 80 Minutes No Interval, a short and sharp black comedy with a big impact and a running time only as long as the title suggests.

The inspiration for Alexandre Dumas' novel 'La Dame Aux Camelias' and later Verdi's La Traviata, Marie DuPlessis shares her story with SYDNEY FESTIVAL in SONGS FOR THE FALLEN.

While 2015 at the Old Fitz Theatre was filled with high-octane plays, domestic settings and masculinity to boot, 2016 will expand the horizons of the intimate 63-seat space with a season dubbed as BIG. BOLD. BEAUTIFUL. Each show programmed is bigger, be it size of cast, size of ideas, size of story, or size of location, however the deeply honest and truthful performances that have become a trademark of the Old Fitz Theatre will remain at the core of the company's focus.

On Saturday August 22, the Old Fitz will be buzzing with exciting talent in hopes of enticing supporters along to help raise money to keep the legendary venue alive. Seven one-hour sessions of theatre will be staged back-to-back in the theatre space while canapes and drinks will be served in the upstairs bar. There'll be plenty of raffles and prizes on offer too. All entertainment on the day will be of high quality and will include many of the local community arts organisations and individuals. Every dollar raised will contribute to the future of Red Line Productions, ensuring they continue the important work they are contributing to the Australian arts scene.
