The McKittrick Hotel to Present New York Premiere of Heartbeat Opera's QUANDO

The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street, NYC), home of Sleep No More, announced today that the New York premiere of Heartbeat Opera’s QUANDO, a short film and live performance mashup, will play a strictly limited engagement starting on April 7. Just five performances will be offered in The Club Car through April 9.

Julia Wolfe to Kick Off Carnegie Hall Residency in February 2022

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and MacArthur Fellow Julia Wolfe will launch her residency as Carnegie Hall’s Richard and Barbara Debs Composer’s Chair for the 2021–2022 season on February 16 with the digital premiere of Oxygen.

Daily Schedule Announced For Bang On A Can's LOUD Weekend At MASS MoCA

Bang on a Can and MASS MoCA announced the daily schedule for their multi-day music festival called LOUD Weekend, presented on Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31, 2021, at MASS MoCA in North Adams, located in the Berkshire mountains of western Massachusetts (1040 MASS MoCA Way).

The Overlook Presents String Quartet Festival To Spotlight Black Living Composers

The Overlook, a string quartet formed during the pandemic by four accomplished uptown string players, will present “If the Stars Align,” a music festival that explores four centuries of music by Black composers, with a spotlight on living composers. The free, community-focused concerts will take place outdoors at historic locations in upper Manhattan: the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, Hispanic Society of America, and the Morris-Jumel Mansion. Special guests include composer Trevor Weston and multi-disciplinary artist Tanya Birl-Torres. 

Long Beach Opera Announces Revised 2021 Season

Long Beach Opera has announced a revised 2021 Season, which will include an exciting return to live opera performance in May with an immersive drive-in Phillip Glass opera, the company’s first venture into longform digital content with a world premiere operatic television series in June, and an outdoor live performance of two operas in August.

Bang on a Can Will Present ALL LIVE BANG ON A CAN MARATHON

Bang on a Can will present an ALL LIVE Bang on a Can Marathon on Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 3pm-9pm ET. The Marathon will be streamed online at marathon2020.bangonacan.org, featuring 26 LIVE performances from musicians' homes in NYC and around the country.
