The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, will present an unforgettable one-night only benefit, The 100 Musicals in Mufti Concert Celebration. The evening will honor the acclaimed Musicals in Mufti Series and its landmark 100th production, on Monday evening, March 30, 2015 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in The Sanctuary at Saint Peter's Church (619 Lexington Avenue at the corner of East 54th Street). All proceeds will benefit The York Theatre Company and the Musicals in Mufti Series.

The Russian village of Anatevka comes to life once more as Novato Theater Company stages Fiddler on the Roof this spring! One of the most popular musicals in history, the Jerry Bock-Joseph Stein-Sheldon Harnick masterpiece plays March 26-April 26 at the NTC Playhouse, 5420 Nave Drive in Novato. It is directed by award-winning Pat Nims (2013 BroadwayWorld SF Best Director), and choreographed by Kate Kenyon.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company presents the first New York revival of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa. Today in 2004, Fiddler on the Roof opened at the Minskoff Theatre, where it ran for 781 performances. Fiddler on the Roof is a musical with music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein, set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Milkman and Other Tales) by Sholem Aleichem. The story centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. The original Broadway production of the show, which opened in 1964, had the first musical theatre run in history to surpass 3,000 performances.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, the Frederick-area's only year-round producing theatre, will welcome the return of a classic musical that holds a special place in the hearts of theatergoers. Fiddler on the Roof first appeared on the Way Off Broadway stage during the 2006 Season. That production broke box office records for the theatre and to this day, audiences still ask when the show will return. Beginning on Friday, March 13th, Fiddler on the Roof will make its return to Way Off Broadway with a new staging for the spring.

Hamlisch, who wrote timeless music for both Broadway and film, won three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, three Golden Globes, and a Tony in his lifetime.
