Rising Sun Performance Company announced that it will present Hotel Suite, an immersive, site-specific 21-day theatrical event at Hostelling International (891 Amsterdam Avenue at 103rd Street) running today, October 11th through November 3, 2012. Hotel Suite will feature the celebrated work of Sam Shepard, FOOL FOR LOVE, and the first Off-Off Broadway production of Tracy Letts' BUG, along with six brand new one-act plays, all set in a hotel room.

Chicago-style long-form improvisation comes to Burning Coal Theatre Company! Northwestern University MFA Jason Tyne-Zimmerman leads a six week class on performing (and enjoying!) Improvisation in the style of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Burning Coal Theatre Company's Playwriting Class, taught by Jason Tyne-Zimmerman, takes place from 6:30 to 9:30 pm on Mondays from September 3rd to October 22nd. The Blank Theatre's world premiere production of Sukie & Sue: Their Story by Michael John LaChiusa, directed by Kirsten Sanderson, was developed last year in The Blank's Living Room Series. Sukie & Sue: Their Story is the only play ever written by LaChiusa, who has received five Tony Award nominations for his musicals. Sukie & Sue: Their Story began previews on April 21, and opening is set for tonight, April 28 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, June 3.
