The final night of this year's estimable Cabaret Convention, What I Did for Love/Taking a Chance on Love, hosted by Klea Blackhurst, saluted composer/songwriter Vernon Duke in Act I and composer/conductor Marvin Hamlisch during Act II. It was a curious pairing, indeed.

It was announced today that 'charlie' has been short listed as one of 30 films in competition for the highly coveted Iris Prize, which is the world's biggest award for LGBT short films. Program Directors Shawn Ryan and John Ainsworth announced today that this summer will be their BIGGEST Young Actors' Theatre Camp yet with stars of television, film, and Broadway coming to lead master classes. This year's camp expands into three separate locations including Camp Cazadero in Sonoma County (June 14-23, 2015), Camp MayMac in Santa Cruz County (July 6-16, 2015) and Camp CGC in Auburn County (July 19-29, 2015).
