New York, New York will take over The Late Show With Stephen Colbert next week. The episode will feature writers Lin-Manuel Miranda and John Kander sitting down with Colbert for an interview. The cast of the new Broadway musical will also perform.

If there was any doubt that Cafe Centro was a bona fide Cabaret Venue it was dispelled last night.  Billy Stritch was seated at the Cafe’s Grand Piano and Linda Purl was the songstress headlining on the cabaret stage of the South Florida restaurant. 

Chamber Music Northwest will present the Grammy Award-winning Catalyst String Quartet at The Old Church on Sunday, April 16 at 4 p.m., with a program that features music by revolutionary women composers, past and present.

The 2023 Audie Awards recognizes distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Billy Porter won for Best Autobiography/Memoir for his Finding Me audiobook. Viola Davis’ Finding Me, which she wrote and narrated, and published by HarperCollins Publishers, earned two Audie Awards. Stage star, presenter and comedian Paul O'Grady has died at the age of 67. He died 'unexpectedly but peacefully' on Tuesday evening, his husband Andre Portasio said in a statement. 

Jaime Laredo, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra's (VSO) Music Director for the past twenty years, returns to the Flynn in Burlington on May 6 2023, to conduct his farewell concert. Originally scheduled for 2020, this program features longtime friends of the VSO and Laredo, violin soloist Bella Hristova and composer David Ludwig, in an inspiring evening of music selected by Laredo to celebrate his tenure with the VSO.
